    Question for Grob/Hershey...

I recall the day specifically. As explained in this post, my broker (at the time) did me a favor (as pay back for a previous error) with an internal fill. Of course, you remain free to believe whatever you like. Placing the quotation marks around the sentence fragment to imply those were...

The MSN Web Site contains several examples of trades made back in 2003 by several individuals. I traded the methods part time for a year before moving to full time trading, and several months before beginning Journal One. The Tucson Meetings began 6 or 7 months ago. As such, few in that group...

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

    1. How did you obtain the historically accurate RS and EPS Ranking? Could you please provide a link to the data provider, or describe how you created the rankings on your own. 2. I see no mention of using equities which "Cycle Five Times in Six Months for 20% Gains occurring over 6-8 days" as...

Knaus/Hendrick: No Negotiations: Chad Knaus was left out of the recent round of contract extensions at Hendrick Motorsports, and the crew chief said Friday he's not received indication that he'll get one. "I love my job. I love my team. I love it at Hendrick Motorsports," Knaus said during...

I use 4 capital streams for my trades, but do not recommend doing so for the new trader. Keeping track of the many nuances while battling the twin demons - fear and greed - often proves difficult. As a result, I recommend using small share size initially in an effort to reduce the cost of the...

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

I apologize for the interruption, but those of us over in equities have seen first hand the contributions made by jonnyy40. Helping others seems a foreign concept to him, yet yet he frequently requests or occasionally demands assistance of the same individuals he chooses to ignore. Ironic, isn't...

I recommend you exercise caution with respect to CKCM. While, over the years, I have traded many of these short term uptrends in downtrending stocks, the trade itself represents increased risk over a 'Normal' Hershey Trade. Ideally, we look for recent pullbacks in an uptrending stock. However...

In an effort to clarify any remaining misconceptions, I have posted the attached color-coded chart. As you can see, some traders often refer to the "Fast Stochastics" when referring to Stochastics (5,2,3). As a result, "Slow Stochastics" infers a reference to Stochastics (14,1,3). In addition...

The above line I posted in error and corrected in a post several months later. I watch the %K line. The Green line (Default color settings in Quotetracker) is the %K and not the %D line. I apologize for any confusion created by my typo. - Spydertrader

At the time he made the trade, his Stochastic (%K) Line probably was above 80. Now (after a small price drop), Stochastics (14,1,3) for a 30 minute chart shows a level below 80 (See orange arrows). - Spydertrader <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=1077170>

Well, the BTUI Trade certainly did not turn out as I planned. As you can see on the attached BTUI Daily Chart, price ran down and breached the "Stop Offset" Line (blue arrow) triggering a sale. The 3 day trade resulted in a loss of -$910 USD. on 900 shares. While nobody likes taking losses, keep...

Actually, you can do both. I currently use 80 EPS and 80 RS to obtain a greater number of equities in the initial sort. Using these settings increases the number of stocks available for addition to the Final Universe. Over time, you should see your own Final Universe grow as well. - Spydertrader
