We offer 4 trading platforms with APIs. On the two owned by Sterling Trader Tech (STT), Lightspeed Trader and Sterling Trader Pro, we turn off MD to the API to avoid non-display fees which are more than $3k/month. Realtick and Silexx are not subject to non-display fees yet.

Just to be more clear, you typically have an executing broker and a prime broker. With Lightspeed, Lime Brokerage is the executing broker that introduces business to the Prime broker, Wedbush Securities.
I assume you are referring to a traditional prop model, not a 1st loss/JBO. It is possible to keep your code but hard to stop them from gaining knowledge from your process that they can use in the future if they choose to. Hard to litigate too.

You can't use leverage to buy options, so the 4X or 2X is not the issue. I do not remember if the expiring SPY options close at 4 pm ET or 4:15 pm ET. If you expect to hold expiring options after 4 pm and do not have the funds if they are still in your position at 4:15 pm, I'd have to ask risk...
