You can also do a measured move up based on on the height of the sideways move at the bottom of the chart. Look to the right at this price level (top of the blue MM) and you will see a small pause in PA as some bull take some profits off the table at this level. The larger black measured moved...

Here you can see the measured move up. There was no PA reason to exit before the initial PT was reached. All bull bars....with gaps up to the measured move and no PB until MM was reached. Why exit at top of MM?. Well we got some sideways PA..means profit taking by the bulls. And a quadruple top...

Yes greater profits with smaller PT because generally smaller PT are hit faster and more often. In addition, after you jump out the market is usually (but not always) going to go back below (except in strong BO) your exit (in bull case) giving you the opportunity to get back in at a lower price...

Just remember high probability then you probably have to settle for bigger risk or smaller reward or both. Whereas low probability trades can have smaller risks and much larger rewards if they work out. But when they don’t work out loss is smaller.

There are different stop levels. X amount of points. Max amount $ one is willing to risk. Catastrophic SL. SL based on PT desired. Price action SL’s. I prefer PA SL’s. If a trade with a properly placed PA SL is too big of a risk for me then simply best to pass on that trade and wait for another...
