Interactive Brokers - chain Orders in a row

It is a conditional order but not a bracket order. I would call it a OTO-Order Triggers Order. I'm not sure if IB can do that without automation and an API, if you need multiple OTOs.

    IB vs Tradestation

The SEC/CFTC does not make this decision, The definition comes from the data provider. In this case, the ICE, CME or CFE. ICE gets around this by not having non-pro MD. All they have is pro market data or delayed.

    Interactive brokers outage

This is the best argument for a back up account. Every broker has every client sign a disclosure saying these events can happen and you trade electronically at your own risk.

    IB vs Tradestation

I checked with Wedbush and the CME. Based on what you have provided me, and the sheet I posted, I expect you can get the non-pro excemption. Small company, one owner, one account, not a CTA etc. Bob

do different discount brokerages have different bid/ask spreads on equities?

You should be offered either Level 1, aka top of book aka NBBO or Level 2 which shows what ECN or exchange are at each price level. For you, L1 is fine.

do different discount brokerages have different bid/ask spreads on equities?

Based on Reg-NMS, it means you are still entitled to the best price available in the market at that point time, even if you’re market data that does not provide those order books. You can’t buy at 14.05 on the NYSE if EDGEX is at 14.04.

do different discount brokerages have different bid/ask spreads on equities?

They might not be providing you full market data, only the primary exchanges without the ECNs. Ask them. They are not allowed to trade through the NBBO.

Nature of earnings from prop trading firm

It will not apply to a foreign prop firm. A K1 is a partnership distribution of profits and losses. 60/40 refers to 60% long term capital gains and 40% short term or ordinary income, We have lower rates for long term here in the US.

    Deep in the money options

You might get a better execution if you sell the future and the same strike put as a spread. That will likely have a tighter spread. Or, try both and see what does better.

    Deep in the money options

It seems that the margin for an ES options that is close to 100 delta will be very close to being short the future. the future will provide tighter markets with more accurate marks. Also, in the event of a sharp drop in the market, you stop participating at some point. What advantage do you...
