A couple of thoughts regarding Interactive Brokers

I know exactly what you mean. I see it all the time on KOSPI and had to develop indicator separating “real” flow from the volume spikes, but it is not ideal. I asked the same questions few times but no one could give me an answer. Sometime volume spikes are very large, but they do not affect...

Trading Secrets For Sales. 200% returns possible.

100% or 200% a year is absolutely possible with little draw down, if one day trades and the account is in 100k-500k range. Once size is increased the liquidity becomes an issue. 100k into 200k is not too hard for someone who knows what they are doing. 1bln to 2bln is extremely hard for...

I trade index futures exclusively for many of the reasons stated above. These days no need to pay for data when practicing. Go to mirus futures website and subscribe to a free zen-fire feed with NinjaTrader as front end.. This will give you all US and European markets. If you leave is US...

A couple of thoughts regarding Interactive Brokers

Yes, they bundle ticks every 250ms. Which is not an issue for myself. And it should not be an issue for manual or auto trading, unless hft. I doubt that anyone serious in hft would use IB. I only have 1 IB main window open, and have not experienced any slowdowns, I never trade over 5 hours...

A couple of thoughts regarding Interactive Brokers

My only issue with IB is that they do not store tick data. I trade kospi futures exclusively and I am set up on hkfarm. I trade via Ninja and do not have any issues. Maybe 2-4 time a year, there is no market data. The platform performs great even in very fast markets.

Super elites have two ways to survive

This article has many truths, but it did not highlight enough that almost all of us who are born in the western world can become elite granted proper schools or some great idea implementation. Aristocracy meant that you had to be born into it. The revolutions happen when lower class has...

A social networking dot com worth $50,000,000,000????

Does anyone remember Lycos or Alta vista, they existed way before Google, but Google came to dominate. I think Facebook is the one that reached critical mass and is here to stay. Even in my small realm of friends almost all started to use it, mostly via mobile devices, though few years back...

best books you've read on trading

True, but not all are bad. Also, we all have to start somewhere, otherwise the wheel would have to be reinvented every time.

    Short DAX at 7740

Hi ASusilovic, Unless something changed over the last few years. Trading even 5 lots with market orders would usually result in small slippage, and i am talking about normal market conditions. I was trading DAX with very short time horizon (my trades mostly lasted 1 to few min). redduke

Judge dismisses challenge to Obama care

I think it won't be repealed, but will be changed if we get GOP president in 2012 and both chambers go GOP as well. Whether the changes will be for better or worse, who knows. It all now depends on what happens to economy.
