    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Let's just call it a FED fueled FOMO rally. I wonder how many people have lost money trying to short this market in the last few weeks based on their fundamental perception of the economy. Maybe we'll get a second strong leg down at some point, but no need to be a hero just yet. IMO, of...

The day was biased to close above 2850 or higher ever since the LOD was put in. Looked dim for a while - but the odds played out this time too.

NQ have been the stronger one for the entire week, but is now in the red and very close to the current LOD. Not the best scenario for the bull side (ES).

You're the one who needs to make up your mind as you were initially long 2 ticks lower, but then flipped short for a loss. In the meanwhile you've been long and short again twice for a gross loss of - 6,50 points. :) You now need a 6,50 point trade only to break even. Flipping inside a...

Yeah. LOD most likely in. My bet for today is a close above 2850 with a small chance we'll make a new HOD from here. NQ is putting in an interesting divergence here though. A rejection of the HOD when we get there can set up a strong sell, but it's not the most likely scenario. IMO. :)

Decent buy signal at 11:01. Need a push higher now to negate the down trend and confirm. IMO. :)

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

IMO - if we fill the gap at 88, we don't go higher as in new highs later. The way I see it - we're now at an area where we can stage a bottom and make a run towards new highs. NQ already filled its gap below, so maybe this was it...

Watch out at 2820. If we can't find a bottom there - we'll probably trend lower today into the Close and printing 2785 or lower.

Short term bullishness remains intact. No shorting this yet, IMO. Damn. I'm starting to sound like @Buy1Sell2 :) Again - I'm just as puzzled as everyone else, but all I know is that someone is buying stocks and it shows on the charts. Technically, this is a strong market. And for all I know...

Nice second entry for late longs there. I'm anticipating a push to 2805-2810 still.

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Jeez. I don't get the complaining here. :) So far today, major moves: 1. - 40,25 points down 2. + 43,00 points up to a new HOD 3. - 42,50 points down to the LOD 4. Now + 31,75 points up and counting. That's more than 150 points on offer just off the major moves today.

Should be a decent long here at 77.

LOD most likely set. I see 2805/2810 from here by the Close. Strong market still. :)

Have not higher than expected + strong move up been the pattern lately...?

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

Actually, it was far from a brutal tight range. It was the smallest range since this drop started, yes, but still well above the long term average. There have been long periods in the not so distant past where the ES have had a 20 day average range of <= 10,00 points in RTH. I'm saying this to...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Yes. The expected outcome today would be flat or up. And if flat today - then up tomorrow. A technical trader simply can't be influenced by fundamentals or his interpretation of the news. I'm a surprised too that we traded so far and so fast from the current bottom, but technically, this...

Virtusa, I think it's a joke on @Buy1Sell2 's behalf who is the one that originally claimed that the ETH session is a low volume environment where a bunch of teenagers in their mothers basement are moving the market around. Obviousy, not true. As far as I know - ES usually follows the other...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Yes. This is a bullish pattern playing out - no denying it. May see a consolidation here for a few days, but short term I maintain a bullish bias here.

Who did that...? I've seen a few things over the years. Another common one is to praise winning trades and let losing trades pass by in silence. :)

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Compared to the last few weeks or the long term average...? And what's the complaint? Lack of follow through or momentum? A 30,50 point range would make this the lowest RTH range since this sell-off started, but still well above what one would expect in 'normal' times. And still making decent...
