    Surf's Special Situation Journal

Surf, honestly my method doesn't use intuition, but clearly well defined, very objective strategies I could teach anyone within a decent amount of time (I think less than a month) to recognise (I got 6 context definitions, over 40 strategies that fit in within these 6 context descriptions)...

    Surf's Special Situation Journal

my entries aren't random, they are very very precise entries (I use pipettes to measure my entries), losses do happen, but are very small. It's all very context related, something you can't quantify ... a computer couldn't trade the way I trade ... but it seems I won't be able to convince you...

    Surf's Special Situation Journal

although I can't speak for cornixforex you might find both of my recent posts interesting ... cornixforex uses a different brand of technical analysis from mine ... there are many ways to skin this cat ... http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=3713272#post3713272...

it is a beautifull country ... :) I can't answer in cornixforex place however, I will leave that to him ... and I am sure he will ... but he is probably celebrating new year at this moment as he lives in Russia ... ;-) I still wonder why you don't believe in technical analysis, it's the only...

really surf, I wouldn't try to get into a discussion with cornixforex, I know him personally and he is both a great trader and he is your intellectual superior ... while you keep on gambling in the markets cornixforex knows both how to analyse them and trade them in practice succesfully ...

    Intraday Candlestick Patterns

Don't forget there will be noise around your signals due to other tf's acting out ... that might be the reason you found it doesn't 'work' backtesting ... my advise trade eur/usd (at oanda, where you can adjust size to your liking) ... it's a really great market if you get it, stocks are harder...

RETAIL OPTION TRADER Makes $105MM PROFIT in the NDX, SPX & RUT

I remember in october 1997 when Europe opened 10% lower (it was the day when the dow went to -500 only to reverse in half an hour to positive), no way you can do any hedging or rolling in that kind of scenario, you just blow up if you are huge premium short... index or no index ... this whole...

A profitable journal with all entries/exits posted in advance

Good trading is never done with targets imo ... you just sit in untill the market shows you it's time to get out ... (and reverse in my case) ... that might be 53 pips further or -2 pips to give my most extreme examples of friday ... I always have an emergency stop 9 pips from my entry just in...

    Intraday Candlestick Patterns

My advice is: read a lot of Xspurt posts, he really is a great trader ... but don't forget either trading is a personal thing ... I am in a chatroom with 10 other people and each one of us is using his personal method, some use indicators and some don't (like me). I like the 3M chart a lot but...

    Intraday Candlestick Patterns

doji's, harama's, engulfers ... they all work perfectly for me ... now ! ... but spend years knocking my head against a brick wall ... like xspurt says, it's all a matter of context ... that's the most important thing ... something that I haven't seen really mentioned in books ... so I had to...

A profitable journal with all entries/exits posted in advance

through technical analysis you aren't predicting anything you just observe the balance of power in the market at that moment in time. You never know where it's going to lead you. I am always in the market from 7 CET till 17:00 CET. In my intraday trading it might even mean a loss of 1 or 2 pips...

I honestly think it's all in the charts ...

Which analysis you trust in it and why ?

most people I know trade 3 minute charts or lower or things like 100 tickcharts ... 5 is conisdered rather big most of the times ....

Which analysis you trust in it and why ?

not if you know how to read them .... they seldom mislead and if so my loss is 2 pips or less ... don't use oanda charts though they might drive you totally insane ... I use fxstreet.com for charts

Which analysis you trust in it and why ?

3 and 5; you play them differently ...

    IV vs HV

when you are a market maker, you don't need a point to forecast from half of the time, you just go with the flow ... and adjust accordingly ...

    Es mini sp 500

My advice would be to open an account at Oanda and trade eur/usd with something like 300 usd. Eur/usd is much harder in the beginning to trade, but behaves much nicer from a technical point of view in the end than SIF's. Only add money to your account when you see you are being profitable in a...
