I would never rely on their charts. Java is lagging. You can rely on their stability as far as trading goes. Rock solid, apart from midnight reset which is ridiculous.

While IB does offer chart they are not great. IB strength comes from costs and access to most markets around the globe. Just use another solution for charts, we use NinjaTrader. Great charting and trading tool. Totally free until you go live, then dirt cheap. make sure to use gateway and not TWS.
