History repeats itself. Since 1950 the only time mkt had 5+ bull mkt run was in the 80's. If you think the expansion is similar to that time frame, mkt could run another 2 years. If not, the avg bull mkt is 4 years. Good luck whichever direction one chooses.

Inverse correlation of bonds to stocks is not as clean given QE and the unchartered territory we are in. Just like everyone keeps waiting for bond mkt to sell off thinking it will fuel equities. Both could very well sell off at same time.

i'm seeing a large cleave on daily 1597-1607. you think it's possible this week? the bernanke speaks at 9:30 est friday at the chitown fed banking conf. you never know if what he says will spook the market. 30 yr bond auction tomorrow 13:00 est.

We keep climbing at 0.5% per day should reach 1700 in less then 2 weeks. This market is beyond irrational now.

bernanke openly admitted they are in unchartered territory. no idea why so many think just because they are the fed reserve that it is safe to assume they know the consequences of what is forthcoming. they have no freakin idea nor do they have any idea what they will do if a massive sell off...

same thing happened before we busted out above 1600. does not surprise me. feds are buying everything including bonds and Euros. i would not read too much into it.

When this mkt finally decides to fall out of bed and the algos shut off, circuit breakers are going to hit multiple times a day for consecutive days and it will fall fast and far. +20% since bottom of Nov. Housing mkt doing stupid things again.

Can't see how ecb rate cut and printing is good for us market. With deflation an issue in Europe, a strong euro not good for that and a weak euro not good for USA. Price action weekly says consolidation, monthly still horrendous. 1600 will be a tough nut to crack. Path of least resistance...
