Trading is Freaking Easy Easy Easy

You know FP, I really can see your point. I started looking at daytradng 6 mos ago to relieve the bordom of position trading. I have some good methods now, but the intrigue and true excitement for me comes from figuring out new methods. The trading part is somewhat boring after awhile. This...

I do agree. Driving while under the influence of anything like alcohol, medications, drugs, is not a good thing. Even hard rock can be distracting and create feelings of aggression. :)

What time is the "Open" the ES based on?

I use Qcharts and had the same question. I noticed the daily chart reflected a different open than the hourly hart by a lot so I asked them. They said for them the daily open occured at 9 am, but if not using 24hr data, which I don't, the open is at 9:30. Makes sense to me, I don't use 24 hr, so...

Ever notice there isn't a group called Mothers Against Stoned Drivers? Are stoned drivers a problem? Do stoners beat their wives(husbands), lose their jobs, get in fights at the bars? Are they prone to missing days at work? Is there a national organization called Potheads Anonymous or something...

    Iraq is whispering something

I am not sure of the process, or if what you say is true, but if so, is it sort of like the old adage, buy the rumor and sell the news? The equipment is bought and paid for, the hard numbers are in, the speculation is over, time to get out. Heck I don't know. :)

    Trading grains

For me, this is what I am seeing as the opportunities that suit my style of trade. It is also what I remember to be true years ago and as you say, is still true. Can someone post the dollars per tick for corn, wheat, and beans please? Yes I can look them up, which I will, but I am trying to...

Thanks cheeks. I appreciate your thoughtful post. Your post drives home the reason I went to the pit in the first place... that and my commish was $2 per ticket then and not the $90 each way it was back then too off the floor. Your point also briefs the same reason I quit very short term...

No there isn't and I appreciate your generous response. I am an ma and oscillator trader too for day and position trades. Love 'em. I am not subscribed to real time data for them as yet, but I think what I will do is watch the delayed charts to get a feel for the spreads and the price...

thanks alberto ... yes let's keep this going please. So now, thx for the brokerage, who do use for charts? I use Qcharts which I love for the ease of use. I think the exchange fees are the same regardless. Not to be intrusive, but for daytrading, are using the common methods like...

    Iraq is whispering something

Hard to imagine that even until the gulf war there was still a question of the power of Soviet military v US military. Iraq was armed with Soviet weaponry and in addition to a test of their soldiering, the Gulf War was a test of the two superpowers' military might. The result was the...

    Another Very Simple Trading Strategy

Well bigjoe should give it up cuz I never see him post. Thx for the response on NR's. I have coded into excel the Raschke connors thing with their formula for volatility. I also have for nr7's too. But like most things I don't bother to actually use it. Sometimes I cannot make out your...

    Molon Labe- where's my $10,000 ??

Now I am just being a wiseguy here, but what is more than qualified... really qualified? Really really qualified? Like saying I'd be more than happy... does that mean jubilant, ecstatic? Or "you are more than welcome"... what is more than welcome? I cannot even come up with one for that...

Before I bought my CME membership, I was a runner at the merc and the board for 6 mos eachto see which way I wanted to go... bonds or spoos. I chose spoos actually because I could never get the hang of the bonds for some reson... and the chix were hotter at the merc imo.

    Why do people blab predictions?

I agree with the above. For the people who are paid to predict of course there is a reason. For those of us on ET, I think it is a matter of conversation and perhaps recognition. Since most of us are TA-type traders, our predictions don't really matter anyway.... being wrong is just about...
