    Er2

See Futures Magazine - June edition. This is a huge test of the ICE platform. If they screw this up, it will be bad news for ICE. If that happens, everyone will go back to the CME Globex platform and trade the S&P Small Cap 600 index contract as the replacement.

    Er2

That's not true. It's the S&P Small Cap 600 that correlates to the tune of 0.996 on price vs. the ER2. The CME is pushing the Small Cap 600 as the "replacement" contract. The Midcap 400 may move like the ER2, but it is not of the same composition.

Clipboard Shrinkage: Excel 2003 to 2007

Ah....you mentioned Vista ? Have you considered THAT as the problem area ? The clipboard is a universal feature of the operating system, so I believe that is where the problem lies. Read some of these threads for proof...

    TS2000i to IB TWS Bridge

You're making a lot of assumptions. Are you using market orders, limit orders, ??? Does IB fill the order 100% of the time ? In the case of a market order, is the fill price EXACTLY the same as Tradestation's EVERY TIME ?

    TS2000i to IB TWS Bridge

You don't understand: TWSLINK works via DLL calls. You must know Easy Language pretty well to accomplish this. If you don't care about tracking performance in TS2000i, then there is no problem. However, if you DO want to track it, then you can generate the signals without placing another order...

Clipboard Shrinkage: Excel 2003 to 2007

You are mightily confused. You must be talking about the SP3 for Windows XP operating system. There is not even SP2 for Office 2007 yet.

Have you installed service pack 1 yet ? If not, you should: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936982 I would imagine service pack 2 would be coming out by sept/october as well.

DTN IQ Feed API Experience anyone ?

Figures. No one here wants to pay (or can afford to pay) the API fee.

Went into a trading firm in NYC... What a bunch of losers

Exactly...and most prop firms are just hang-outs for the unemployed who happen to have both time and money.

    TS2000i to IB TWS Bridge

Depends on the type of "bridge": data or orders DATA: http://www.traderssoft.com/ts/msrt/#tws or http://www.hypertrader.it/hserver.shtml ORDERS: http://www.trade-commander.org/twslink/twslink.htm Keep in mind, syncing the order status and position status between the platforms is still...

DTN IQ Feed API Experience anyone ?

Anyone have direct experience with the DTN IQ Feed API ? As everyone knows, the IB API has been hugely buggy and very undocumented and also unreliable (did I miss anything ?).

    The Surf Report

12k gave way like nothing was there. Indeed, the bids are weak. Now the issue is the 11500/600 level. Will take MAJOR support level hold ?

    IQ Feed vs. IB feed

    The Surf Report

The 12k break could be dramatic....i.e. down 400-500 to 11500/600 very quickly. Interestingly, those are major support levels. If we EVER get a drop in crude oil, there could be a substantial short-term rally off of those levels.

    Sterling API Developer Thread

COM is slow, I think mainly because of all of the marshalling involved. See my comments in the software reviews....Sterling management is most definitely not interested in spending another dime on the API. And given all of the prop shops using Sterling Pro, it's no wonder there are so few...

    Fraud prevention?

FORGET IT. Our beloved legislators passed some weak legislation designed to protect Wallstreet, not YOU. In reality, the real "fraud" is that the SIPC is so weak. http://www.stockbrokerfraudblog.com/brokerdealers/ After years of complaints, efforts by attorneys representing investors and...

    Sterling API Developer Thread

Logically, this is not correct...some items for consideration: 1) A position is created from one or more orders Thus, there is a one to many relationship here. 2) A position can have one of these 4 statuses: a) open long b) open short c) closed (flat) d) reversed to long e) reversed to...
