This is poor advice.
Beef and fat also raise insulin. Often more than some carbs. Futhermore, "GI" index is based on effect of SINGLE foods eaten alone, mixed meals have a very different affect on insulin and blood sugar. The "GI" index is flawed for this reason., and not a good way to eat...
