You bring up great points in favor of futures. One thing is missing in the puzzle - leverage. There is so much leverage available trading the ES, as low as $300 margins, that if used improperly will almost always result in a quick blowout.

Very true. If your methodology is that poor that the goal is just to 'last' then trading a handful of shares of stock will in fact last longer than trading some futures contracts but the end result will be the same.

Open ECry has a nice sim as well. You get a 2 week trial for free but you can request an extension if need be.

JD - OEC is a futures firm and nothing else to my knowledge. So everything on their end is limited to futures. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure on this one.

If you had ANY assets worth protecting, you would have a lawyer. STOP WORRYING ABOUT YOUR $5000 PIKER ACCOUNT AT IB. It's obvious you have so little to worry about or you would have already contacted an attorney and this is a moot point.

It's called estate planning. If you had any real assets to protect, you would have known this. Don't worry about your little piker accounts, they will find their way to probate court in no time. Ignorance is not an answer. Do some homework. :confused:

Not true at all. Many 'methods' can make money over the long haul, but many will give up as soon as there is a smell of a drawdown or want to change something. Very few can follow a system verbatim and make it work. The human psyche will simply not allow this.
