Broker with most available shares to short?

If 50% of the revenues is not what you feel they should take, what is the right number for providing this service? You won't get more than that at another clearing firm.

    [IB] OPG orders on options?

It is my understanding that options markets can open right away after the stock is open at the primary. Most exchanges have their opening right away. These opening rotations are all automated now. As to "much time does it take for the market to balance after the open?", that would vary from...

    [IB] OPG orders on options?

You don't have to choose open, it would be added to the open automatically. I would not recommend market orders for the open, as there is often very wide option markets on the open.

After you do the typical google searches, try search statistical arbitrage and add the name of some top math Universities. You might find white papers. I know this professor at NYU so I added him to the search and got this...

    Questions about Option trading

After the trade you entered into is compete, the counter party is irrelevant. The OCC and it's member firms are responsible to make sure that the buyer of the contract has his rights and a seller will met that demand. If you were to exercise your options, the seller would be random that has to...

Broker with most available shares to short?

Your math is correct. This is the advantage of any broker that charges per share. You lose that advantage if your style is to buy larger blocks of stock, then ticket charges are better.

You pay the fixed fee as long as it is less than .5% of total value. It is to enable trading in Otc stocks that trade at low prices with lower commissions. Most traders that trade these stocks look for deals with ticket charges vs per share.

Broker with most available shares to short?

I think this should not be your only criteria for choosing a clearing broker. Fidelity Investments is one of the largest mutual fund and financial services groups in the world. From that, they have a giant box of stock to lend. However, other clearing brokers like IB, are provided access to this...

Which firms don't pay any commission?

I'm not sure where to start. To avoid clearing/execution commissions you would need to own a self-clearing broker dealer and have a large fixed overhead. Then you would still have to pay member rates at the exchange. Not free! If you just start your own broker dealer and lease a trading permit...
