    Interactive Brokers Smart Routing

Just making sure: are stops triggered in the afterhours market? And if they are, don't you need to set an option saying you want them to trigger during the aftermarket?

InteractiveBrokers "hyper-hypothecates" $14.5b of Customer Funds?

You should probably pull your money now because no matter what IB's response, apparently it won't be good enough for you.

InteractiveBrokers "hyper-hypothecates" $14.5b of Customer Funds?

Oh yes! I totally agree because def's sole purpose and only job is to post responses on ET! The fact that he is shirking his duties means that I must pull out all my money before IB goes under! He's hiding something!

IB TWS sucks for Options trading

Yes, IB should supply them with more Batmans and less Transformers but we all know that's not going to happen.

    Interactive Brokers and automatic liquidation

If there was an error on IB's part that affected not only your trade, but many other people's trades that same day, you can't expect them to be able to resolve the situation quickly. Many many years ago there was an outage on Istinet that caused the status of many orders to be unknown for about...

Obviously sometimes Timber Hill will be the best bid or ask at the time of liquidation and thus will benefit from the auto-liquidations in those cases.

    IB Margin Changes

I agree with this statement. However, I don't view that as a bad thing. If you view this as a bad thing, then maybe have two accounts, one at IB where you force yourself never to go on margin, and another at a place that will give you more slack in that regard.

I doubt they would disclose that information. I don't work for IB, but I've traded with them for over a decade and they are partially responsible for my success. They've always done right by me and their auto-liquidation policy is a good thing in my opinion.

    IB Margin Changes

Well if you don't like the policy, don't trade at IB. If I am being liquidated, I could care less who gets my shares.

So you would feel happier if Goldman got your liquidated shares than IB when you were recklessly overleveraged?
