Which retail brokerages offer IEX routing?

Of course I have power. I have power to route my order to any exchange I want.

"Money Monster" Trailer (Yes another Wall Street Movie!)

You think? I'd definitely see it in IMAX if "Cramer/Clooney" was blown up at the end of the movie.

Which retail brokerages offer IEX routing?

It is totally worth it if it means the bots can't frontrun your order. Of course, I'm not a huge fan of the bots and I would do anything in my power to screw them over.

Prominent Bitcoin Developer Declares the Digital Currency a Failure

Bitcoin has first mover advantage. Unless something else pops up, is clearly superior, and gets mass adoption, then Bitcoin is not going away anytime soon. Hopefully the Bitcoin community can agree to resolve most of these issues over time.

    Advancing to Next Level

Once you enter a position, put a stop in and a target and wait until it hits one or the other. In the meantime, you can leave your trading desk and do other things. Getting away from your desk (or wherever you trade) forces you to keep your trade on until completion.

Is it possible to participate in the ARCA opening cross with IB ?

Good point, I should have tried ISLD instead. Will do that tomorrow.

Is it possible to participate in the ARCA opening cross with IB ?

When I bring up a BAC ARCA line on TWS, OPG orders aren't even an option. When I bring up a BAC SMART line on TWS, I can create an OPG order and then direct it to ARCA but when I submit, it says "The time-in-force is invalid for this combination of exchange and security type." So either there...

Martin Shkreli Keeps $45,000,000 In Etrade Account

I guess you can stomach supporting the actions of a total douchebag, but I can't.

Martin Shkreli Keeps $45,000,000 In Etrade Account

Why does he raise the price of a drug 5000% overnight? Because he has no regard for what is right and wrong.

China's stocks trading suspended again after tumbling over 5%

You mean sort of like when the US refused to let its bankrupt banks fail? Or how about when the US abolished short selling of financial securities? Do you remember that?

China To Suspend Circuit Breaker Halts, Friday, Jan 8.

Sort of like the financial crisis in the US. I love it when people talk about how crappy a job China is doing when the US did the same effing thing a few years back.

    Jim Cramer on CNBC Tonight...

And they should have failed. And if capitalism had been left on its own, more would have rightfully failed. Cramer's video is just him being a shill for his former buds in the business who were afraid that they would be taken out in body bags. It makes him seem like a pathetic whining baby -...

You can have trader status without declaring mark-to-market.

Real live trading experience: Market Vs Limit orders

Personally, I would never use market orders on many of the stocks I trade. You could have used market orders maybe a decade ago and you would do fine. But I am bewildered a lot of the time about how illiquid the market is and how wide the spreads are during supposedly high volume times of the...

Should I take a $200k loss to offset profits?

Are you qualified as a "trader" in the eyes of the IRS? I.e., can you write off trading expenses due to your trading business (on Schedule C)? If so, then you can take the loss whenever you want and get the full benefit that year. However, if you don't qualify as a "trader" then your capital...
