    Simple Reversion Tendency Indicator?

FINALLY someone gets it :D Usually when I say indicators don't work, the replies are guru babble like "Just because you can't make them work doesn't mean they don't work" and then they try to sell me a course Really, the only way to do it is to: 1) have an infinite capital supply (so...

    Simple Reversion Tendency Indicator?

CCI will do it RSI will do it Any oscaillator will do it You won't make money over time, however, unless you can predict ahead of time which lookback period to use. There is also a situation where your indicator can say that price has reverted even tho price didn't really move anywhere...

pair trading (is that what it's called?) S&P and Nasdaq?

Do me a favor and put me on your ignore list. Dividing Qs by S&P doesn't tell you the point at which you should enter the trade, which is what this thread was about.

"The only way to trade with Fibonaccis" journal

Long 1,000 @ $132. I know that's a little below the original MAGIC FIB LINE but when I checked the charts today price had gapped down and was at 132 so I entered with a limit order. Avg cost $132.70. So the target profit is $137 which will bring approximate profit of $7,740. Other...

Cool, why'd you move to Germany? For work, family, or fun? Some of you may be drawing a down trendline here (see chart). No big deal, I'm just going to buy more if price goes down further. It could also be argued that right now price is hitting a known R point. But again, who cares...

Question about futures brokers with continuous contracts

Ohhhhh, so it's just a charting thing. Gotcha. Well that's still nice. Merging charts in non-coninutous charting brokers (OEC, charting with SierraChart) sucks.

Question about futures brokers with continuous contracts

I feel like you don't understand what a continuous contract is.

Question about futures brokers with continuous contracts

Is there a rollover fee or anything? I'm considering the implications of using ES instead of SPY, but I sometimes hold positions for long periods of time and with OEC, I don't feel like selling my current contract and buying the new one. So with a continuous contracts broker can you really...

    First time on a Simulator

Averaging down is safe under 3 conditions: 1) when it's done such that you won't blow your account (in other words, not with futures on an intraday basis) 2) when it's hedged against catastrophic loss 3) when you use a hard stop (like if you're win rate is 80% of the time, so if it goes...

    First time on a Simulator

Here: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2075844&post2075844 Averaging down will eventually blow your account. Don't get me wrong, I average down constantly. But I don't do it in such a way that I am in danger of blowing my account. I also don't do it intraday with...

When they diverge by a decent amount, can you just short the upper one and buy the lower one in equal dollar amounts and then sell when they get close together so the net proceeds will be positive?

A list of all scam unregulated 3rd party educational vendors

lol. But I agree, there shouldn't be any live links going to the scammers' websites. The last thing they need is more links (which will give them a boost in Google's eyes).

"The only way to trade with Fibonaccis" journal

The next MAGIC FIB level is $132.44. If price goes there before going up to the target profit, then the target price will net roughly $7,200. Of course, since price is random, I have no idea where it's going to go.
