    NQ Price Action Journal

I wish. I always get a kick out of the comments that what was written a hundred years ago is no longer relevant. So many people know zip about the past. Reminds me of that American Idol contestant who said that "Smile" was written by Michael Jackson.

    Is day trading worth it?

I understand, and you've been very polite. And I appreciate it. And, yes, Mark is good. Too often forgotten since he doesn't particularly enjoy these flinging episodes But I've seen a lot of hotshots fall in the last twenty years, particularly in '00, so I'm just not impressed with...

    NQ Price Action Journal

Most of it has to do with the results I posted last June re the winrate and the P:L ratio. What they fail to understand is that if you limit your losses to, for example, 4t and you net 8pts for the day, you have an 8:1 ratio. But you absolutely must keep your losses small and follow the rules...

    Is day trading worth it?

They're easy to fake if one hasn't posted a trading plan along with the requisite rules. If you can find a chart I've posted that doesn't follow the rules I've also posted, please let me know so that I can either explain the chart or apologize for the error. As for being banished, you'll have...

    Is day trading worth it?

Simple thing, simple suggestion. But the reason is also simple: screen shots, P&Ls, statements etc etc can all be faked; charts can't. I'll trust a chart posted by someone with a trading plan and with rules, e.g., NoDoji. Screen shots of various sorts? I've been around too long and seen them in...

    What is your strategy?

By the third day of their honeymoon in Las Vegas, the newleyweds had lost their $1,000 gambling allowance. That night in bed, the groom noticed a glowing object on the dresser. Upon closer inspection, he realized it was a $5.00 chip they had saved as a souvenir. Strangely, the number 17 was...

    What is your strategy?

If I were lucky enough to hurt myself when I stumbled on the wheel, I'd sue the bastards then go play poker with NoDoji.

    NQ - Supply & Demand

It isn't what I'd call a "set-up", and I don't recommend that anyone try it who hasn't spent a lot of time observing in real time. Static charts and backtesting aren't going to accomplish diddly. You have to see price move. You have to see traders reaching for a price and failing to get there...

switching gears to Price Action via SLA

The entry is made at the level of the purple dot in the bar to the right of the dot. If gears wants to enter somewhere else, that's his choice, but I suggest that he back- and forwardtest such an entry before trying it in real time.

    Is day trading worth it?

Since you've been at this for at least ten years, you know that that doesn't constitute proof and it's not intended as such. Drownpruf, for example, posted a short on Wednesday at 50something. This after price had already plunged 18pts and was still falling. But he provided no evidence that the...

switching gears to Price Action via SLA

The entry is triggered at the level of the dot if and when price reverses and moves in the desired direction. If price continues to rise, the entry is never triggered.

switching gears to Price Action via SLA

I disagree, though it's not my trade and not my money. If the trade is entered at the red circle, price is still going against you. If entered at either dot, price is moving in your direction and flowing in the desired direction. With a smaller interval, of course, there may be a turning...

    NQ - Supply & Demand

No, you're correct. That was a MF big hinge that didn't reach its apex until just at the close, so it went nowhere, partly because price didn't exit before the hinge was complete and partly because trading dropped off so much. As for 3600, see boru's and kp's charts.

switching gears to Price Action via SLA

This is typical. People chomp at the bit to start trading but soon realize that they're not quite as ready as they thought they were. But by going through this, they end up getting more out of the observation phase when they return to it than if they had never given the trading a shot.

    Is day trading worth it?

You're not linking to a post; you're linking to a page. But quickie course in auction market theory. You short at the upper limit of a trend channel. You hold until you reach the lower limit of the trend channel. Price fell from the upper limit of the trend channel to the mean of that channel...

    Is day trading worth it?

Well, since you don't know what auction market theory is, then the answer is, you don't. I suppose you didn't sell 3600 in the NQ today either?

    Is day trading worth it?

Again, this link is for yesterday. If and when you are ever able to navigate your way through a thread to a particular date, you'll note -- if you understand auction market theory -- that AMT tells you where to go short and where to go long and how long to hold onto the trade, similar to...
