What's the future of Crude (Brent)?

WTI and Brent have not rallied along with the stock market the past few weeks. The economy is still fragile and there is more supply than ever on the market.

Something Has Snapped in Italy’s Stormy Relationship With Europe

Merkel wants to fund a 750M Euro Covid recovery fund with EU issued debt - whatever that means. She actually used the term "EU-issued debt". Germany will have to change it's tone about EU austerity given post-COVID reality if they truly want to keep the EU intact.

USA! USA! USA! Winning the coronavirus race

The masks that the South Koreans are wearing appear tighter fitting and cover much more of their facial area than the dust masks that I see in the US. Maybe it's fat American faces. I am a big believer in wearing masks. Given my background working at Nuclear Power Stations and having to...

USA! USA! USA! Winning the coronavirus race

And the death toll in South Korea on July 15 was zero and on July 16 was two persons. So Canada is ten times better than the US and South Korea is ten times better than Canada. No wait, Canada had 8,825 deaths and South Korea had 291 deaths.

3 weeks of straight mask wearing equals elimination of virus?

I guess my point is that what people on the street are wearing for respiratory protection and what I know to be legit respiratory protection from my days at Nuclear Power Stations are two very different things. You get used to it. I did it for a couple years working at a nuclear power...

USA! USA! USA! Winning the coronavirus race

I'm not asking for any proof. Far from it. Mortality rates can affect decisions. I want to know how likely I am to recover from an infection. For example, if the mortality rate for COVID is less than 1%, I will continue to go out only for essentials like food and take all social distancing...

USA! USA! USA! Winning the coronavirus race

While I agree that data can be flawed, some very important conclusions can be drawn from mortality rate - namely, how effective treatments are or are not (are we getting better at successfully treating COVID), and how deadly the strain of COVID is (viruses are not static - they mutate at an...

I watched the linked video, and it’s the death toll, not the death rate. ABC labelled the video incorrectly. What I’m interested in is deaths as a percentage of confirmed infections.

3 weeks of straight mask wearing equals elimination of virus?

I’ve restored a few cars and I use the dual cartridge respirators for spraying epoxy primer and catalyzed urethane. I have a couple new respirators just in case shit gets really dire. I’m just fine with idiots dying off but unfortunately they usually take innocents with them.

3 weeks of straight mask wearing equals elimination of virus?

Not wearing bandanas and paper dust masks. Legit N95 HEPA rated NIOSH approved dual cartridge RESPIRATORS - that’s another story.

Opening both long and short trades

IMO your energy would be much better served being long a Star(s) and being short a Dog(s) simultaneously. There is no worthwhile reason to be simultaneously long and short the same stock. If you’re long 30K shares of XXX and you want to sell some OTM calls on XXX that’s another matter.

USA! USA! USA! Winning the coronavirus race

The second wave of the pandemic itself has some threads of good news. While infection rates are increasing mortality rates appear to be plateauing - maybe health care workers are better at treatment or maybe the virus has mutated. There’s some good news out of Europe regarding schools and...
