Weekly ES Futures Options for Jan 24th refusing to show up on OptionTrader regardless of how many times I check and uncheck the box and restart TWS. Is something replacing OptionTrader soon? Has IB just kinda let this go? Does anyone else even use this?

Are you using Option Trader? If you are using Futures Options, you probably won't see your order anyway...so maybe it is recognizing it - and maybe it's even live at the exchange, but you won't be able to see it. It's been a known bug with IB off and on for a long time.

I entered a Globex spread order last night and it failed to appear as the NBBO at any time. I was at $4.00, yet the NBBO stayed at $4.70...all night and into today. I tried changing the price, cancelling and resubmitting, trashing the whole thing and re-establishing the strikes...nothing worked...

Same here. Seems like more problems lately but they always fix them promptly - that is once I reach someone. Now the chat function is completely "down for maintenance" and no one picking up the phone lines for over an hour. Meanwhile the status page still reads everything is just swimming...

I'm with Steve generally. I use Option trader and almost always get filled below the ask. Last week, I had to go 10 cents above the posted ask in order to get filled - that's the first time that's ever happened with IB.

There really isn't much HFT in options from what I've seen. Transaction costs and spreads are too onerous for that approach. Volumes have grown slightly over the years as technology deployed by brokers enable more traders - both institutional and retail - to put on spreads and hedge equity...
