I'm a customer of interactive brokers and would prefer not to change brokers. I would like to trade DonKee's method (great thread btw, DonKee) and I need to use a 1000 tick chart for that. Does anyone know of an alternative at Interactive brokers (3 min is not an option as i was told)...

Set a % stoploss for each position. I would use 10% maximum or 5% if you're less convinced. This is for longerterm portfolios. Some use % of total liquid net worth, or % of portfolio.

yes, you are right, you can see 03/06/09 and 03/09/09 as a double bottom in ES as well. In hindsight it always seems so much clearer :-) break out above the 691.75 was a buy signal for swing trades.

I think we need a double bottom, if we are going to have any chance of a sustained strong rally
