A newbie trying to find a broker . any opinions?

I didn't like the ThinkOrSwim platform at first. Maybe watch some videos on how to configure it. It took some time, but once I configured it, it was a gamechanger. Mine doesn't look anything like the default platform.

Any good books on trading and psychology besides Trading in the zone ?

One of the points Denise Shull emphasizes is that emotions are data. If you learn to use them as such, they can reveal your patterns and tendencies. To take this to another level, you can use other traders (and how they are thinking / feeling) as data -- because sometimes it's easier to...

Any good books on trading and psychology besides Trading in the zone ?

So much of this whole "psychology" issue is recognizing your patterns -- the mental programs you're running in your head when you're trading -- are they serving you or getting in your way? But like I said before, sometimes "lack of an edge" or flawed beliefs / thinking / assumptions sometimes...

Any good books on trading and psychology besides Trading in the zone ?

Maybe I could have said it better -- not looking to get into a debate or anything like that. It's just that confidence and other trading issues -- which seem like they are psychology issues -- can sometimes be attributed to the lack of a true edge -- even though one might not recognize it as such.

Any good books on trading and psychology besides Trading in the zone ?

As a long-timer and someone who has SO many trading books, with many on psychology, zghorner's comments are very relevant because too often folks look for a book to solve their issue when it's really about self-awareness, being present and then overcoming any negative tendencies you may have...

    Stress and Trading

Just my view, but I always found scalping the most stressful, not to mention, your edge may be marginal. Your emotional state is fluctuating with every tick.

    Candle Stick Pattern Expert needed

You're looking for certainty in patterns and techniques. But to answer your question directly -- no clear candlestick pattern that I can see.

Is it really a break out if the market doesn't close above the break out area? Just something to think about. Also, go do a relative strength analysis of the stock vs. the S&P 500 over the duration of the pennant pattern.

To maxinger's point, most stuff you find in a book isn't worth much.

RTY / Russell 2000 definitely was oversold at support as of Friday. I just held my gold positions which I got in on Thursday and didn't have mental bandwidth to focus on much else, unfortunately.

Big name investor predicts the crypto market

For what it's worth, keep in mind Burry was way early on his housing call and almost imploded as a result. You can make the call but timing it right is critical.

Not a good day for IWM but it did find support at logical level.

Bought gold off this low. We'll see what happens but looked really oversold in ST.

Here is what I was seeing in Oil. Wish I was in that one. Was tracking USO on a 130-minute chart -- sometimes I can see a particular market better on an index or ETF than the futures.

What do you primarily follow? The trade I missed today was oil short. Late morning it started looking interesting and I got distracted and then it went down. I primarily follow S&P, Nas, R2000, Gold, Gold Miners, Oil, Natural Gas, Bonds and Bitcoin / Ethereum.

Here was my daily view (using UNG) for Natural Gas going into today. So we had resistance 2-days ago and then down to support area yesterday so was looking to buy today.

No phone -- LOL. Just a small pic. Looks like your charts showed some similar perspectives. You can see both the support and the resistance.

Natural Gas Trade Today. Long at Point A; Sold at Point B. This 2-hour chart lined up with what I was seeing on the daily too. Not every trade is this clean.
