Why is my order always last in line?

I don't trade in the U.S., but don't market orders there have priority over limit orders? So those trades at 29.75 could be market orders to sell that are matched with market orders to buy when the last execution was at 29.75, and could be one reason why your limit order isn't filled.

Anyone know of way to get a discount with Kinetick or Esignal?

No, the $14 is payment to extend the tick data from 10 days to 40 days. Sorry, my last post was not clear regarding intraday. But you said it was tick data that you wanted, and the max. is 40 days.

    Does Technical Trading Really Work?

I planted some flower seeds in a sandbox last December. The next day there were no flowers. So that proves it. 'Gardening does not work’.

Buying at Support or Buying at Resistance

I think the OP is calling the last high in an up trend resistance, as it is commonly called such. I could never agree with calling both the last high in an uptrend (A types in the attached) and the last high in a down trend (B types in the attached) resistance. The basis of the activity at...

The TREND is your friend.. The biggest lie ever!

    >ND Attached is a 50 tick chart from yesterday. As you can see the price movement is just as easy to read as any 1 or 5 minute chart, and is really by the book. The advantage is, of course, the opportunity for earlier entries and exits than would have been presented on 1 minute or larger...

The TREND is your friend.. The biggest lie ever!

Having traded off both, I highly favor trading off a tick chart with the number of ticks based on the normal activity of the contract. But I do follow 1 minute charts. For example I use a 50 tick chart for the Nikkei225 Mini. The more active ES would need to be set at a larger number of ticks...

Typical useful life of your trading laptop

I've always used Fujitsu laptops. Where I am you can always sell your Fujitsu laptop for a higher price than that of other makers. What I used to do is when new models came out i'd buy a previous model directly from Fujitsu and sell the one I had. So every 2 years I wound up getting a new PC for...

But why would I do that if the computer still runs perfectly? Especially when I'm so close to making it into Guinness!!

Typical useful life of your trading laptop

I used to buy new ones every few years. But I was happy with XP when Vista came out and later decided to wait for 7. When 7 came out I was still happy with XP and heard good things about 8. But after seeing 8, I didn't like it and am now considering 10. But still happy with XP!!

Typical useful life of your trading laptop

I've been using a Fujitsu laptop every day for 10 years. Other than the fan being noisy it still runs fine. I also have 2 Dell Dimension 9150 desktops that I've being using for trading for 10 years. They still run like new!! I do a disk clean up, disk defrag, check disk, and virus scans etc...

The TREND is your friend.. The biggest lie ever!

Interesting to see in this thread how many different opinions there are as to what establishes a trend, and also how many traders there are asking for a definition or have doubts. Also, there is no mention of the basic textbook definition of what makes up a trend, even though trend lines are to...

    What's your definition of TA?

Someone mentioned a 'definition of TA' in another thread. I thought such a thread might be of interest, rather than the usual 'TA works/doesn't work' type. But will surely lead to that!
