Putting myself into Jewish shoes, I am now a Jew

I believe people understand what "cutting bushes at the borders" mean. It can mean entering to test assumptions on the enemy, planting some monitoring devices, etc. Who cuts trees in the summer in the middle east? If anything, they would want shady trees to hang under, and the trees may have no...

Deflation followed by hyperinflation is coming.

That can be bad, if borrowing does not pick up fast. Otherwise, they can be signs of deflation.

Skirmishes on Lebanon border, as a result of Israel cutting bushes at the border. A Lt. Col. from Israel is dead. We shall see if Israel's latest threats to Lebanon have teeth, or they were mainly empty words. If Israel does nothing, it means no war with Iran and Lebanon would understand from...

"I did not have a sexual relationship with that woman....Lewinsky" What happened to her by the way? Maybe she was angry at him for not doing the job.

    Your Favorite President

My favorite is Carter! Signed peace in Middle east, and he is a good moral president. Projects a good image of the USA in the world. His problem was that he was like a member of the clergy in terms of physical toughness, which did not help him because some people respect mainly the non Jesus...

Weekly Poll: SPY Is Stuck at 110

Best wishes my friend! Payroll this Friday. This market is dull, and therefore can be very dangerous. I would not trust either side. I am watching the currencies. If EUR/USD goes south, then some news might come from Europe. If U/J breaks 85, I would not be surprised if old carry trades words...

20 voted, and not a single vote for dady's president and his dad. 12 years of presidency did not earn a single vote. Barbara should easily earn some votes.

Weekly Poll: SPY Is Stuck at 110

I am thinking that 1.3232 for EUR/USD could be a nice looking number where distribution/selling of this pair might take price. Someone mentioned that BoJ stated it will defend the 85 level for pair U/J.

Weekly Poll: SPY Is Stuck at 110

LOL! Everyone seems to be doing the same--- just watching (including yours truly). Traders are the only people who can watch a boring game, but when it gets moving they stop watching and start playing. :) Premium sellers are collecting. I am betting you have some short covered puts and/or...

Weekly Poll: SPY Is Stuck at 110

Shortie: You know what I thought of this market for the last two days. What did you decide finally? SPY did not move much from your last print (now at 112.24). It has been very dull so far for 13 hours of trading. With less than 20 minutes to the close, is she going to catch people by surprise?

Former PBoC advisor:Treasuries Lack Safety, Liquidity for China

What ever that guy says, I would not be surprised if the opposite will be true. I would also not rule out that he is saying hoping that it triggers a selloff, thus allowing their bank to buy more US debt. I would Follow what they do, not what they say.

:) . Could I give him my address to drop the green? I will tip him for the delivery. Did you guys ever have the remorse after a buying/selling? I shorted some QQQQ calls (entry was good), but did not cover them, as they were marginally in the green, but I am now thinking whether it was the...

Build New Banks- Wipe Old Banks - Cheaeper and more beneficial?

Why? You keep same employees/buildings/etc. You just change equity holders. They did it in the airlines some years ago. A bank is not a difficult business as in other cases where it is hard to find customers, etc. The core of a bank is reserve capital.

Build New Banks- Wipe Old Banks - Cheaeper and more beneficial?

The banks with negative equities may suck taxpayers/fed cash to capitalize themselves. They may not let it pass to the economy, as they most likely engage in bringing their equities from negative values closer to zero using the cash coming from deposits and from the Fed printing press. Why...
