California to stop buying GM, Toyota and Fiat Chrysler vehicles over emissions fight

C'mon, guys! Disease, geologic strife, race riots and county-devouring conflaggerations, led by robotic Republicans and recovering Democrats, to lead the nation in venture capital, patents, research citations, and a Gross State Product that rivals the GDP of 90% of the world's nations. If we...

    Inflation causes riots and wars.

Okay, well, you got one tiny part right. The rest is inconsistent, internally-contradictory, phantasmagorical gobbledegook that would earn you a Chief Foil Hat badge at any Institution Of Crazy.

Is "Smart" order routing a sucker's play (for either fees or execution?)

:D:D:D Thank you, Noobs. Cracks me up..... :D I think everyone should *start* with a single screen, on which sits a BookTrader (price ladder) on half the page, and for the other half, a 4hr/1min market graph of Japanese candlesticks, with an ATR with Go/No-Go levels and a Lane's Stochastic to...

Is "Smart" order routing a sucker's play (for either fees or execution?)

Your "friend" is no friend. 1) Fees: If you're spending "high-5-figures" and are asking these questions, your method needs serious help -- blaming IB or an exchange will do you $zero good. 2) Execution: Spend some time with BookTrader on the rapidly-moving ES. Place an order to buy (or sell) and...

Help with sizing using probabilities (I suck)

Y'mean Mr. Gutless Dooshbagio (whose consumption of protein shakes, steroids and stimulants still can't help him find his shriveled testicles with both hands, self-loathing -- like self-stimulation -- takes two hands) showed up? Did Nutless make more statistical errors, or...

Help with sizing using probabilities (I suck)

The calculation of the move probabilities and the incorporation of account $$$ need to be kept separate to not confuse the issue. The move probs are mechanically the same as confidence interval calculations -- YouTube is your friend. Sorry so short, but in a big rush today...

Commission free trading with direct access

You know the answer to this question, Obi Wan. :wtf::cool: Does a tadpole have a watertight bum? :p ["Now *that* is a poser!" Yes it is. Yes it is.....]

The Master of Robots Left AQR. Now He’s Coming for Wall Street

*True* machine learning depends on stable data -- data where Xs have no hold-over value from T={t} to T={t+1}. Zero "serial correlation." Financial data is rife with it. But if you try to mention this, or how to address it, you *mostly* get the rolling eyes of a 12 year old being warned of...

    Confirmation bias or valid procedure?

Backtesting only establishes *that* something works, not why. "Why" is nice! Why is what I'd want to know! Why would let me (most likely) feel comforted in confirming my biases. But I can hang with merely being profitable.

    Confirmation bias or valid procedure?

Oops. Forgot to mention: this are *all* "mean reversion" concepts -- there is no independent reinforcement from using the three. Which puts a very big hole in things..... Sorry about my miss. :(

    Relative Strength Concept, Robert Levy

Yeah. Whenever I think of outdated pikers, I think of Levy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_A._Levy

    Confirmation bias or valid procedure?

"Confirmation Bias" -- an attribution of truth or veracity to a hypothesis when chosen outcomes match it -- is not appropriate (IMO) to the use of financial forecasts. :wtf::wtf::wtf: Why? Because your first purpose is not *science* -- the finding of TRUTH -- but profit. And so, while MY HEART...

Market has topped on 2019/11/07. Get the hell out now.

Not to hijack a thread, but I'm going to declare a short of the ES (DEC) at 3022, putting me $60 underwater. So, with the market ~3082, I'm going to NOV22 and sell a 3030 -0.21δ put for $8.75. My BE is now ~3030 (3030.75). If the market goes to 3022; the FUT will be $0; the put will be -$8.00...

Market has topped on 2019/11/07. Get the hell out now.

With all *due* respect to your obvious forecasting chops, sir, I'm sure we can all see the market hitting 3400 and 1800 at some point... The question is, in what order??? :wtf::vomit::confused::confused::confused::cool:

Ex-Billionaire Dragged to Court for $680 Million Unpaid Loan

From none other than J. Paul Getty... "If you owe the bank $100, that's your problem. If you owe the bank $100 million, that's the bank's problem." And if you owe the bank $680 million, that's evvvvvverybody's problem.

Market has topped on 2019/11/07. Get the hell out now.

We have certain standards around here, that are *not* being met: • Is the top *today's* top, or the close? • Is the top subject to (infamous) ±X% riders, such that the actual top claimed is 3127.258? • Hell! Which market?!?!? • For how long is this "Top!" claim good? Next week...

    What would you do ?

I don't believe how the other party gained the capital is relevant to whether/how you invest/trade it. The relevant questions are in going forward. • Taxing Authority issues: what will they see? • Time/Risk/Performance issues: what are the agreed terms? One read of your statements above has you...

So I just bailed out of this market

I haven't even listened to it yet, but I strongly suspect I'll love it. Why? Josh frikken Brown. The accent reminds me of growing up and listening to my "New Yawk" relatives... but the guy (when on CNBC) ALWAYS cuts through the fog, and *nails* whatever everyone else seems to be missing. And...
