London post-brexit as a financial center

Does the EU certify US aircraft and pharm products? So how come we need our products to be certified by the EU? We are not having a guarded border with Ireland, not on our side anyway. That's the fundamental question regarding the 'backstop'. We don't want one, the EU says they don't want one...

London post-brexit as a financial center

Serious question...what benefits are there for the UK to remain in the EU? I've asked this to die hard Remainers and all they can say is some guff about being able to live and work and retire in France! Or that the alternative of being out is beyond their comprehension and that the UK will self...

Could the next recession begin with the Brexit situation ?

I'm not saying there will not be a recession in the world or a bear market or whatever...i don't think Brexit itself will be a trigger simply because everyone knows we are leaving at the end of March. It's a known known. Something else may be a trigger or perhaps there is no trigger, bear...

We no longer welcome criminal Russians and their dodgy money here. I'm very pleased they are being chucked out and made persona non grata. Apparently we are also confiscating their assets (houses, etc) if they can't prove source of funds are legit. Since most of it is from criminal enterprises...

Russia isnt part of the EU. (or maybe they are covertly...glad we are leaving!). We have the larger and most powerful military than any of those countries. Even combined, they are no threat. In addition, we have the USA as our closest ally. London is the biggest financial centre on the planet...

London post-brexit as a financial center

I think you are forgetting that the UK is the 2nd biggest economy in Europe, is the biggest military power in Europe and has the biggest financial centre on the planet. Also our closest ally is the USA. We have record low unemployment, our GDP growth rate is twice the Eurozone in the past 8...

The Fascination with "Bear Markets" and "Calling Tops'

A bear market tends to be high volatility (lots of big up moves and even more so big down moves). Traders' dream! You can make your life fortune from a bear market. I think the most successful speculators throughout history made one or more of their fortunes from a bear market (e.g. Livermore...
