Besides drinking it, what's everyone's thoughts on Coffee (KC)? I took a speculative long at 1.2511 yesterday based on my read of chart technicals (falling wedge, 3-drive-ish, potential recent double bottom, fibs) and somewhat positives in past seasonality. Could have sold on the pop to 1.27...

Most of Asia was down last night (with the exception of China which is an entirely different [manipulative] issue). Europe didn't look shit-hot green to me either. As far as I can tell this is typical "punish the bears"/"prop up the markets at all expense" type stuff.

DDT offers Qtrader. I've been meaning to setup an account there myself specifically for spread trading but the Qtrader rates are quite reasonable.

The other thing is it's a really bad synthetic. I don't know what they're doing but it doesn't even seem normal for a synthetic spread chart. It's like they're using the bid/ask/mid somehow (rather than last) and coming up with charts that are prone to all sorts of garbage...

The charting on spreads in TWS is just ridiculous. I don't even think it's native at all, just a synthetic.

The flaw in this idea is that it's incredibly obvious and already being done by the option MMers. Find another gimmick.

This is one of those products that IB completely has the capability to support as a native spread but just simply hasn't. As far as I know, there's a bunch of cross-product spreads that are native that they simply haven't added. It's dumb, but it's on us to complain about all of them until they...

Just because the bid or ask is 200 doesn't mean it requires you trade 200. You could hit the bid or lift the offer with a 1 lot and it would then be 199.
