    best way to short gold

Same, I've heard 980. That being said - I'm sure there will be some drama around 1000.

I wonder what support will be like around the 1000.0 level... they'll probably throw everything they can at it to break that level - imagine the stops.

    73 cent Aussie?

To be fair this was a 2-3 hour trade not a multi day one. I was expecting a bounce off of a support level (admittedly probably not a strong support) around my target and could then make a decision after that. Instead it was a strong flush. That being said the target was probably a bit...

    73 cent Aussie?

I had a short as well from 7341 and 7338. Hit my PT at 7310 and then felt robbed as it went to 7288. It's now 7256!

    SpreadProfessor Clients - Thanks !

How does one leg into options on a spread? Not the mechanics of it, but maybe better said: how does one even construct such a position if the underlying's options have strikes dictated based directly on the underlying's price? Obviously both (to keep it simple) components of the spread could go...

    Monitors....what do you Really Need?

4k monitors are actually superior in every way due to the higher ppi. Now they doesn't mean they're necessary for a trading rig - but they're certainly capable of being advantageous for general purpose work. The 5k retina like monitors are by far the best visually (iMac 27" for example).

Germany must be forced out of the Euro Monetary Union.

If this much hand wringing is necessary just to figure out how to make the EZ work (through duct tape and twine no less) then maybe that's telling you it's a broken model that just ain't gonna work. Greece, Portugal, Spain, and Italy are simply canaries here.

Hillary proposing higher short term capital gains taxes

I don't think anyone is proposing the government cater to freeloaders who take advantage of the system. Just because those individuals exist does not mean that's the *intent*. On the other hand if you structure the system around an every man for himself type mentality you will quickly approach...

    SpreadProfessor Clients - Thanks !

The other day I learned that ICE offers options on KC spreads - meaning the underlying is the spread itself (2 different ones). Nothing mind blowing about that but it does seem like a funny derivative rabbit hole to me - its like a derivative on a derivative of which you can then take to another...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

You'll end up in that trap regardless. In fact, the "flow" can be a trap in itself.
