Closed +1011, MFE around +1800 at ADP which I was watching. Blocked me from trading NQ on open when trying to keep trade on, so not super happy about the margin requirements.

The most obvious tip would be to stop trading in ways that bust accounts. Risk max 1% per trade of account value as per amount limited by stop (maybe increase to 2% later when more experienced) and keep in mind stops can fail, especially on overnight and weekend gaps.

In general ESMA imposing 5x leverage limits on bonds previously (which I believe has been raised since then but my CFD provider hasn't been paying attention) for whatever reason means I'm now at max use of margin for initial positions. If I want to trade NQ today I'll liquidate.

Closed -30, trade not proceeding well. Aside from initial MFE of around +250 it spent most time in MAE territory and graph looked vanishing. May well regret this but going to bed, capital conservation and sleep is better.

Depends on company culture. The interpretations already posted in this thread are good examples of how a certain situation can be interpreted in different ways.

Be careful about mental gymnastics I guess. Entirely possible the guy thought he made up for the cost of the sandwich by the value contributed to the company (and he may well have been right on that point).

The above bond short was for -1234 units. I'm getting fairly sloppy in specifying trades, mostly because I think nobody cares including myself (having the details in the system anyway). Some kind of mean reversion to be expected before trend resumption as market has been very trendy today...

Shit day (in terms of wasted opportunities) but that's fine, early day trend was decidedly strong and my execution was rather flawed (yet another instance of staying up at night to trade being harmful to trading later in day). I don't expect to have time in February to pursue any process...
