Is China responsible for covid19 pandemic and what price should it pay?

This is about as effective as the EU telling the US it should pay for Big Mac causing obesity or whatever.

    Is scalping blue-chip 'investments' viable?

If I understand you correctly: You are taking small profits but exposing yourself to potentially huge losses, resulting in a high win rate. Small reward high risk. Please don't, this may eventually steamroll you and it's very hard to judge if the strategy actually has positive expectancy. Of...

    $286 left

Mirroring losing trades doesn't necessarily resulting in winning trades (transaction costs, lack of predictiveness). I'm sure you know that, but the OP might get the idea he should simply do the opposite of what he has been doing.

    $286 left

Real post or troll post? If the former; don't mean to talk you down, but turning $286 into something anywhere close to the $125k+ you've lost, by trading, especially when you've shown the exact opposite of skill thus far, is in the realm of the highly improbable. As people have remarked above...

    Snuskpelle's CFD Adventures 2020

For completeness I'll report on last week despite not having enough time to follow market much right now: Closed ASX200 last Monday at midnight open due to weekend looking more positive than I had expected, but "stupidly" let other swing positions stay open (according to plan). Slight green by...

Nassim Taleb-Advised Universa Tail Fund Returned 3,600% in March

The real question is if Taleb is a member of r/wallstreetbets.

    Oops

Not sure what calculations you did on risk before taking such a large position (or unless you have a very fat wallet), but I assume that's something you will learn to do after this incident...

    Oops

Will be interesting to see how this plays out..

    Snuskpelle's CFD Adventures 2020

I've had to completely change strategies for now due to the level of volatility as per previously I was getting hammered and reset back several months worth of effort, and am now doing essentially small position swing trading on all my accounts (intent is to BTFD at the possibly distant point...

Won $700 with Micro S&P futures!

Yep. Glad the stats check out for you.

Won $700 with Micro S&P futures!

Just be careful about visibly "winning" by skewing SL and TP levels; there's no intrinsic edge in the skew itself. It's harder to tell if you have an (extrinsic) edge when you need to win >75% just to break even.

Coronavirus job losses could total 47 million, unemployment rate may hit 32%, Fed estimates

We basically have a team (Folkhälsomyndigheten FHM, National Health Service or similar) of experts setting the strategy and the government just initiating/signing off on measures recommended by this team. They're basing it on international research and some simulations they did on how various...

2 Trillion phase iv infrastructure bill incoming

Better now than never and I really wish Swedish gov would take a cue and solve our large housing problem while construction companies are out of private sector contracts (assuming it comes to that).

Closed +361 Turns out there is an obscure +4%/year "admin fee" for TRY pairs on this CFD platform... Multiply that by leverage 7 of account and I'm looking at not so pleasant projection unless I have a very high alpha or otherwise very certain on this particular trade (I am, but don't feel like...

^Umm we will see, financing charge was a higher than calculated (i.e. had calculate the per-week financing to 204 EUR, but got hit by 80 EUR for overnight charge, which implies I'm misunderstanding something critical.) Sent mail to support.

Unemployed workers will now make more staying home than working.

Kinda like traders in other words? (w.r.t. to thread title, sorry, just low hanging fruit for a joke)

Buy EUR/TRY x 60 000 @ 7.0165 stop 6.3560 Going to leave this trade on on this acc (approx 8.4k remaining after transferring out past weeks as previously described) until I figure out something else I want to do and simply not look at it. With TRY it's nice to have loss bound at account limit...

    Snuskpelle's CFD Adventures 2020

As you might have guessed, I overbet this with twice as high allocation to strategy as I should. I fear I am still going "full Harold" (see a certain recent movie) after the Fed rate cut hit. When I'm on an account peak I get overly conservative, when I'm in a big drawdown I like to take...

Closed -3400. Might turn around Monday but can't sit around hoping over a weekend gap. Would prefer to sit and monitor downtrend but too many interruptions from girlfriend tonight.
