Started long algo NQ Aiming for reversion to higher end of daily range from here. Intending to AFK this one.

Short closed for -15. Quitting for now, not in tune today either. Edit: Pondering idea of adding a mean reversion trading algo for days like this and yesterday, but not sure if viable with CFD trade overhead. Will figure by backtesting.

Thanks for explaining. I am intending to move to the underlying futures at some point, but for the kind of experimental trading I do here CFDs suffice (even if they're indeed expensive).

Indeed. If I want to succeed trading like this I need to end up not losing 0.5% of account per day with chop as currently I've done. It's turned out that my discretionary bad habits (randomness) still have some way of making impact here: I can choose of activating 2x instances of algo (as I did...

Not making any predictions today, as I see it you can equally make the case (on a purely visual basis) why we should go up or down from here. We'll see if long bias is alive and well soon enough. Of course, the risks due to trade war that have been around for a long time have got more urgent...
