    Index futures automation

Going through extended drawdown. Main culprit is MES. I literally haven't made a dime from the MESZ22 contract. The best performer is M2K,MNQ followed by MYM,FDXS. It's really interesting how the same strategy can work across other indeces but MES just coudn't have enough volatility for it to...

    Index futures scalping

basically my strategy revolves around what's the max expected losses in a row for given % entry accuracy. You stop n reverse cycle will be based on this. Then again, your r:r is so skewed i don't think this will work if you reverse it. But at least something to think about lol...

    Index futures scalping

oh yea, forgot to mention. my rr for all trades is 1:1. Your reverse rr wouldnn't work in this case.

    Index futures scalping

I think it's all about "stop and reverse" to manage risk. I stopped using hard stops for a while cause I like to trade around bull/bear condition rather than worrying about how accurate i need to make my entries. With stop and reverse, you just need to figure out what's your max cycle that will...

Back to the Futures - with Accountability

I honestly don't where the rally is. He said "first friday of september which is 9/3/2004. But here is the chart on that friday (daily). He mentioned shorting off of 68...unless I'm missing something, doesn't look like it?

Back to the Futures - with Accountability

wow, ED chart looks retarded as hell. Nothing I ever seen in my life. It's like it just goes up flatlines then goes down. I bet you wished you traded it earlier this year lol

    AMP Metatrader 5 server location

Yea, I'm not blaming AMP at all. But I'm sure AMP is paying metaquotes for the platform access and if they know it has issues, I'm sure they have more power to compell Meta to change or look into this. I only care if the platform matches CQG. CQG is the datafeed so I take it as the true price...

    AMP Metatrader 5 server location

So I've ran MT5 live AMP account on 3 different platforms. MT5 (NY vps), MT5 (Chicago), and CQG desktop. This is a single bar comparison at 830a cst (13:30 MT5 time). Yellow cells indicate discrepancy between MT5 and CQG desktop price. This confirms all the previous threads I have opened up...

    The Night Effect

So night hours for equity markets are shortened right, it's not 24 hours. Like maybe 6-830 cst? so they are comparing performance from 6-830, to 830-3p? If they are , it feels like a apple to orange comparison.

    AMP Metatrader 5 server location

I'm using ninja's server right now. I mean most times i see <2ms, compared to my 30ms average with my former ny vps. But I'll track the OHLC for few days during cash open for markets i trade since that's where i see the most dispcrepancies. WIll share here

    AMP Metatrader 5 server location

Ninja gave me a free trial, right away i see that it's a differetn location you see the improvement. Will track the prices this week and check. Using MT5 amp global Using ninja vps basically says it is the same spot/improvement as chicago since it's the same latency. So that's good.

    AMP Metatrader 5 server location

damn that' unfortunate ironbeam's route didn't improve it. I'm jsut going to go test out Ninja's vps..and if it's good..stick with that.

    AMP Metatrader 5 server location

But all the vps providers showed London server was fastest. Does it mean nobody trades US indeces with AMP through mt5? Cause Chicago server never comes up. That's what confuses me I guess

    AMP Metatrader 5 server location

I trade US indeces and 1 from eurex. I always thought that as long as I'm connected to CQG data feed directly, it should be fast and no lag. So now I'm thinking later on when I trade different exchanges, I should separate mt5 into different vps servers?
