Where to find historical futures data?

Kinetick provides free EOD data. I think you will have to export it from Ninjatrader to *.txt format and eventually to Excel if that's what you use.

Beyond Ninjatrader Brokerage - is IB the only broker offering Ninja? Any other options with Ninja?

Apparently, Ninjatrader offers CQG Mobile which I can use as a supplement to manage my positions. So, that takes care of concern number one. I'm awaiting a reply, but the guy I talked to didn't seem strict on the 1545 intraday margin restriction either. It would be great if they can offer...

how to prepare for night shift trading?

I had some health issues in the past which I attribute partly or mostly to poor sleep patterns, undersleeping and consuming too much caffeine (not just during the day, but large amounts in the evening as well). And of course stress, which is only increased by the aforementioned factors. If this...

Beyond Ninjatrader Brokerage - is IB the only broker offering Ninja? Any other options with Ninja?

Not about this specific issue, but I did it now and I'm awaiting a reply. This might be a dealbreaker for me. I am leaning towards AMP for this benefit in addition to the 10 minutes extra intraday margin. It might not sound like a big deal, but there are some nice moves lasting all the way into...

    Ever feel like giving up?

IMO, you're most likely not ready yet. It sucks, but you're better off quitting and getting back to your market studies for a little (or a lot) longer. When trading live, the market should be a familiar place doing pretty much what you expect it to with little or no surprises. This comes from...

Thanks for your input. :) 'Good enough' makes me think you you're not quite satisfied. Would you mind sharing some more details? Are you day trading? Futures? Does NT/Dorman provide any way you can manage your positions outside Ninja? Web browser? Mobile app? As mentioned, I'm a little...

How to work towards going full time

Are you? :) Not yet, but I don't mind giving an honest answer. I've taken a few jabs at full time trading. The first time I was far from ready and failed massively. The second time I was far more prepared, but not quite enough, I think. That is, I felt I had a really good read on my market...

How to work towards going full time

When you have enough money in your trading account accumulated from the markets and when your day time job prevents your successful trading. Years from now if ever, sounds likely. Maybe not what you want to hear, but it is the truth. :)

Beyond Ninjatrader Brokerage - is IB the only broker offering Ninja? Any other options with Ninja?

For some odd reason, they don't offer Ninja with futures though. Only stocks. https://ninjatrader.com/support/forum/showthread.php?t=62174

FCXM and Gain Capital = foreign exchange Interactive Brokers = too high intraday margins MB Trading = NT 7 only and recently acquired by Alley Trading. Doesn't sound ideal. TD Ameritrade = stocks only So, for futures, they're basically offering it only to Interactive Brokers. EDIT: Hmm...it...

Beyond Ninjatrader Brokerage - is IB the only broker offering Ninja? Any other options with Ninja?

For day trading ES futures, it seems like my current options would be: 1) AMP Futures with Sierra Charts. Possibly MultiCharts or some other also. But Sierra seems to be really good and fast. 2) Ninjatrader with Ninjatrader Brokerage/Dorman Although my charting needs are fairly modest and...

    What is your FAVORITE indicator?

I think people saying indicators are useless are ignorant. What if you simply haven't found the right indicator yet? Applied it to the right type of charts at the right time frame/size? What if you need several based on which market conditions are present? What if it needs to be adjusted...

Beyond Ninjatrader Brokerage - is IB the only broker offering Ninja? Any other options with Ninja?

Any idea why IB seems to be the only broker able to offer Ninja and other brokers seems to have been put out in the cold? Isn't it also a little odd that Ninja basically isn't interested in selling their software, but offers it for 'free' through their own brokerage? I would gladly pay either...

Beyond Ninjatrader Brokerage - is IB the only broker offering Ninja? Any other options with Ninja?

Thanks for the input, @speedo. Maybe I should consider NT/Dorman after all. Is there some way to manage your positions (not phone) outside of the Ninja platform? What I liked with my IB + NT set-up is that I had the possibility of managing positions in TWS as well, both native on my computer...

Hi, Understood. Are you still a (happy) customer? Are you using NT8 or 7 for live trading? Futures? Thanks.

Hi, I used to lease Ninja back in the day (prior to March 2015), but I guess that don't apply? Or can we make this work somehow? :)

@fordewind As far as I know, it's not possible. I would gladly pay for a license to use NT, but they don't seem to offer that opportunity. I can't understand how this can be a good business deal on their end. An alternative is to use NT for charting and execute through some other software...
