Between 2005-2014 he's had an income of approximately 266 million USD and since he went out on his own he's single handedly been one of the largest personal tax payers in the country. This isn't 'far fetched', it's a fact.
There's very little information about his trading operations or even...
Power trader Einar Aas has been impressively consistent and have made huge amounts of money from the markets as an independent trader for many years now. Multiple years he's had the highest income in Norway. Thus, these news were quite unexpected and sad.
Seems like he's been both overleveraged...
The ET crowd have been shorting ES since we bottomed out after the financial crisis well below 1000. What's the rationale this time...?
I think the 'price is too high or this market has gone too far' argument isn't valid any longer.
What has fueled this market for the last years...? Have...
Interesting. Do you monitor a basket of SPX stocks or simply looking at how many stocks are making 52 week highs? Do you find this valuable in short term trading ES?
Good (short term) read, @beerntrading. What did you see? What's single name strength?
Would be nice if we could see 2900 today. Should (could) see some momentum if we clear 98,25 now.
What happened to Bloomberg's economic calendar? When trying to access it through their web page, I just get to a general Economics news page.
The one available on NASDAQ's home page looks similar to Bloomberg's layout:
https://www.nasdaq.com/markets/us-economic-calendar.aspx
Which calendar...
No clue about long term, but looking for the day high around 15:30 today, so should be seeing some more upside, but not necessarily much higher. Would be very surprised to see a sell-off from here today, but who knows...
FWIW, I tested this on ES futures using the 09:30-16:00 US Equities RTH session. In my experience, prior day closes are very significant in the ES market.
I don't use global crosshairs. Just local. It was NEVER an issue on NT7. So, it's a mystery to me that it took them years to fix this (they fixed it just around the time I migrated) on NT8 which is supposed to be so much better.
That said, I am using NT for now and I don't plan on changing...
For instance, I might require the market to be below it's 20 MA. For the 2nd Day Gap Rule, this yields 24 days in my sample.
Using 2,5 point leeway we have a fill of 71% or 17/24! An improvement indeed. :)
That's how it seems to be in the market. Patterns come and go.
I just checked the 3 Day Gap Rule on up gaps where you have 3 gap up in a row.
I had 22 days in my sample. Using 2,5 point leeway, I had 64 % of those gaps fill on the same day.
I bet if one used an additional filter one could...
Speaking on Ninja and in particularly NT8, I haven't yet had any issues to speak of during live trading, BUT, over this weekend I've had multiple freezes where I have had to 'kill' the application to exit.
Not very encouraging.
Of course this is only my subjective experience, but I haven't...
I think you're right and that this was a very bad decision on NTs end. I briefly tried SC since I wanted to use another brokerage and not be dependent on NT brokerage, but didn't like the platform and decided I didn't want to deal with having to learn a new platform right now. Multicharts was an...
