    Does T-Line Trading Work?

I think it would be more objective to just backtest it and then simulate trade it...then post the statistical results of both. Anything else will be just hearsay. wrbtrader

    HeatMap/TreeMap Visual Analytics products

They're only useful if they're real-time, they show you visually where the action is at and not at although they are not trade signals. Some heatmaps show the size and liquidity too while others are standard (everything is equal size, equal liquidity). A good heatmap would allow you to change...

    So these people on tradingview...

Have you tried to compare them on separe computers in your home...one platform on a computer at the same time while the other platform was on another computer...with the monitors of each platform side by side ? I've always suspected that different platforms being run at the exact same time on...

Poker -- Has your knowledge of poker improved your trading profits?

I've heard this by others about chess (times), competitive sports, military combat ready, certain video games (gaming), autism, bipolar and many other online tales about "transferable edge". wrbtrader

Automate Price action, candles and tape reading

HFT also has an edge in fees. Also, I don't know how well automation performs on the higher time frames but with all the news the past few years about the poor performance by firms (their quants)...I'm going to assume that poor performance occurs on the higher time frames too. wrbtrader

    Any daytrader near chicago?

I knew you were being sarcastic (funny) but I wanted to make sure someone new / naive doesn't take what you said "as fact". Too much fake news these days :D wrbtrader

    Any daytrader near chicago?

Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME Group), Citadel along with some of the top hedge funds in the industry. Regardless, there's a lot of day traders in Chicago @ https://www.meetup.com/topics/daytraders/us/il/chicago/ wrbtrader

hen322's ES MES Daytrading Skill Development

This is the first time I've ever seen this little tibit written by anyone about one of the benefits to having a trade journal...using the trade journal to help limit overtrading so that you'll have less documentation...less work. It works especially when you know the mean (average) number of...

    Tradingview charts

If you're a moderator or Baron...I think it was you :D Seriously, I did see a message post by Baron in someone's thread about not liking TradingView involving a complaint about someone using the "like" to manipulate that member. I even gave a like to someone (GRULSTRMNN) in that thread a few...

    Tradingview charts

Same here...I remember seeing negative commentary or criticism but now I can't find it. It was via someone (another member) complaining about something and Baron showed up to make a comment about TradingView. Also years ago a moderator here at ET did something similar like but more negative...

    Tradingview charts

Maybe because management here at ET has openly made negative comments about TradingView or sided with others complaining about TradingView ? Software firms are very sensitive these days about whom they decide to sponsor / partner with or affiliate with. wrbtrader

Automate Price action, candles and tape reading

I believe this too. Yet, at the same time, wouldn't there be automated trading systems out there that trade longer time frames like daily, weekly or monthly ? I say this because once in awhile I would see an analyst on TV or a quant say in a financial magazine article that their firm's models...

To be clear, you do not mention personal things in his life involving his trading. I was not talking about for example...the name of his dog, not talking about what car he drives, not talking about your favorite weekend activity you do with you're friend when you're not trading although I made...

Automate Price action, candles and tape reading

I'm only pointing out that you have specifically named other key variables about your friend (e.g. discpline, experience, context) that can not be automated. That's the reason why your friend can not automate it because he knows that those key variables in his trading can not be automated. You...

Automate Price action, candles and tape reading

Its very weird that you keep talking about "your friend" in the Automated trading section even though he's not using an automated trading system. :D Also, do you realized that you just stated in the quote above a few key variables about your friend that can not be automated ? Experience...

Automate Price action, candles and tape reading

If his trade method was automated does not imply it will be profitable in all liquid instruments, over all time frames and result in 10s of millions of dollars. :D More importantly, if it was true for your friend, he would be doing exactly that if his method could be automated. Thus, your...

Stay or take money and Run?

Exactly...if he's reached his profit target...bank it. Yet, if he thinks its too early in light of today's market events...still bank it and then wait for the next trade to use a bigger profit target in similar like market conditions. wrbtrader

These common spelling mistakes cost investors millions each year

Hilarious :D I wonder if there's a study that determines the age group making such mistakes with the ticker symbols. I'll bet the elderly and/or retired group making a large percentage of the ticker symbol mistakes. wrbtrader
