Apparently Paulson is heavily short and his fund is on the brink. The sharks can smell blood (Bill Gross) and they are probably pressing. If he gets more redemptions in June, he has to cover some more. And I'm sure he is not the only whale that is short.

I'm curious who this firm is as well. I don't know anyone offering this deal and certainly not in California. You couldn't pay me enough money to back guys trading stocks. I can't imagine a firm doing so today and staying solvent. There is one firm that does so in Chicago (Tower Trading)...

I agree. It really comes down to whether you think parents should be responsible for their children or should the government. Yes, I agree there are bad parents out there but where do we draw the line? I think it's very scary to think we have turned over our kids to the control of the government.

That's actually an intelligent point. Most restaurants use soda to keep the food costs down for the consumer since they mark up the price of the soda. If they have tighter margins on soda then food costs will go up in response. Once again, the consumer loses.
