I am in the same situation and run fully automated futures strategies. The initial setup is quite labor intensive and probably not the best approach for most traders. Plenty of opportunities looking at daily charts.

I started using the product when it was AlgoTerminal. With the QuantTerminal rebrand, the price point was dramatically lowered for retail traders. The product definitely has a cult following, but at this point they need to start aggressively marketing the product which I hope to see soon.

That could not be farther from the truth. For a new grad, the key is to do some sort of internship before graduating. Also, for every big tech job, there are thousands of other jobs in the field.

Those are the hoops you have to jump through to get into any of the big tech companies. However, there are plenty of software engineering jobs out there that do not require that.
