OIH surging again . . . Nice up move since April 1st in the 71 handle. Now trading 87. Huge multi-month resistance being tested here between 86-88. Nat-Gas making new contract lows and yet stocks like HP and PTEN are going to the Moon!

You can also say the same EXACT thing about natural gas as it relates to the land-based NG drillers like HP and PTEN. The stocks are breaking out even though May Nat-Gas is in the dumper and continues to make new contract lows . . . If you don't believe me, punch up a chart of Helmrich (HP).

Defense sector outperforming the broader market today . . . LMT, LLL, GD, etc. LMT now 20 points off the lows. LLL now 16 points off the lows. GD now 13 points off the lows. And people thought this sector was left for dead. They've been sadly mistaken. :)

If you look at some of the stats for JPM's sub-prime loans and mortgages that were absorbed in the WAMU acquisition, Q1 wasn't too bad at all. If anyone has the power to survive this collapse in the housing market, it's JPM. Their trading desk results were also solid.
