Hatred of the NYSE

   They don't make markets on listed stocks for one simple reason: It's not a level playing field! They'd be mad to try and compete with the specialist while he still holds all the cards. The price movements (and displayed bid/ask sizes) of Non-Hybrid...

    I am 25, but I whish I was 85, so I could die.

Listen, I know more about depression that most psychiatrists. Since none of them could cure mine, I had to spend thousands of hours of my time learning to do their job better than they could. First question: Are you isolating? Do you work out of your home? Do you go for days without...

    S&P has topped for 2006

I didn't know about the ISEE, Mav- so that was one of the best posts I've ever seen on ET. Thanx! One more thing: When this 4-month old rally spike does end, IMO it will end with a few months of sideways action- not a U-turn selloff spike going the other way.

I bet thorn would be far more likely to share his valuable opinions with us, if not for all the bashers who persistently de-motivate talented traders from making public calls here.

Bidu about to tank down below $80

GOOG has a 2007 p/e ratio of 37, and a revenue growth rate of 70%. Now that you know these figures, is the stock still "insanely" overvalued?

    hedge fund trader vs. daytrader

If you can prove all that, I'd probably back you myself. You'd start very small, and get raised according to your performance. Profit split would be similar to Schonfeld's prop deal. Thing is, you really don't need a backer at all if you can just put up low 5-figures yourself, at 30-1 leverage.

    Public Apology From myminitrading

Have you realized that Jewish contributions to the world such as the polio vaccine, insulin, antibiotics and comprehension of vitamins... more than makes up for all the bad stuff; Like communism, Goldman Sachs and Woody Allen movies?

Wow... finally! You did the right thing admitting it. Give me credit for not saying a word this whole time. The truth isn't half as bad as the stuff people might have imagined from your words anyways. Keeping nothing in the closet is my philosophy, you know: If someone can't handle my being a...

Another disadvantage: Your picks have to actually work (at least on the hypothetical level) in order for you to get paying clients. C2 records and displays your system's track record.

The latter, for the most part. I get 5-figure rebate payments every month. (Not to be confused with 'rebate trading', which I don't do.)

    Hatred of the NYSE

Well, my 'tipping point' just came. ARCA's liquidity on listed stocks is now good enough. I've just switched to trading all thick NYSE (non-hybrid) stocks through ARCA, instead of bending over for Vinny the specialist.

    Facing our demons

It is widely known that academic types usually make lousy traders- but I doubt that's the real reason. I'd like to know what other here think, but I think its due to the fact that great traders usually have such a burning drive to get rich NOW, they're not inclined to spend (waste) years in...

    Facing our demons

Not really a flaw?! That's the mother of all flaws! The 'gun-shy' trait is absolutely lethal. I've known many traders with this trait, and not a single one of them was ever able to build a successful trading career. Sorry if that sounds harsh... I'm just truthfully...

    still don't like Cramer...

That 'Booyah!" shit got old after the first month. Dave Chappelle knew when to quit saying "I'm Rick James, Bitch!", and South Park knew when to quit killing Kenny. A real entertainer knows to keep it fresh, without harping on the same old tired catch phrases. When I hear yet another...

How about the two cops who felt the need to taser an uncooperative six year old child? The kid wasn't even attacking them, or anyone else for that matter. Is that justified too?

I wasn't implying that Middle Eastern immigrants to the U.S. deserve any special treatment. They don't. I'm an IDF veteran, not a cultural relativist moonbat. I just saw the whole episode as an opportunity to drive home the point I've been trying to explain here for years. Widely held...
