Ranking the 2024 Democratic field (CNN top 10)

I don't like throwing money at people. I think the student loan forgiveness is terrible economics. Young Americans need to be better educated about what the job market is like and what skills are needed as well as historical/current salaries in those occupations. I would like to see a job site...

Ranking the 2024 Democratic field (CNN top 10)

I don’t get the impression that Warnock or Kelly are overly progressive. While they aren’t Sinema/Manchin, they are about as far to the left as their state can tolerate against a bad candidate as was Doug Jones. I wouldn’t put either amongst the most liberal senators though.

Ranking the 2024 Democratic field (CNN top 10)

I don’t think the Democrats have a true monolithic base like the GOP does who just blow their orange dear leader nonstop. The Democratic Party is more of a big tent against him these days. They are moderate to liberal on social issues and conservative to liberal on economic issues. There’s big...

Yet they still might keep the Senate, because the GOP is that bad. 10 years ago Ted Cruz was the extremist bringing down the party. Now he’s basically the establishment. He seems reasonable compared to some of the clowns running like Herschel Walker. In the past people like him would have been...

Ranking the 2024 Democratic field (CNN top 10)

I tend to agree, Trump has made the Democratic Party a bigger tent. Some of the more Wall Street types who held their noses for years over the religious right found Trump and the current Republican Party to be a bridge too far and they’re overwhelmingly going to support centrist Democrats.

Ranking the 2024 Democratic field (CNN top 10)

https://www.cnn.com/2022/09/20/politics/2024-democratic-presidential-rankings-biden-harris/index.html This list is complete bullshit... Just a biased list by the corporate media. I don't even think a single one of them is registered with the FEC for 2024 yet.

I am officially running for POTUS as a Democrat in 2024

I’m assuming they don’t consider me credible since 99.9999% of the country has no clue who I am and I’ve never run for any political office. However, there were about 300 people running before I registered, many of them Democrats.

The wonderful city of New York

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_crime_rate It is up, but it's up across the board: https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/research-reports/myths-and-realities-understanding-recent-trends-violent-crime Even with NYC's numbers up it's easy to see it's still much...

Yeah, my bad. Obviously meant to reply to a thread in the Politics section on that one, must have had two tabs up lol.

Borrow fee on HKD is 1060% but 0% intraday?

I saw 100 shares available for about $45/share yesterday. Didn’t take it though. Last time I traded it I shorted it day 3 at like $26 and was disappointed I covered like $18 (thought it would drop like 80% in one day as many of these Chinese scams have). Anyways, with Reg SHO I have to re-borrow...

Borrow fee on HKD is 1060% but 0% intraday?

The insiders clearly had a plan to corner the float from day 1. It never traded like it had an 8M share float to begin with. Can they hold this up until the lockup ends?

The wonderful city of New York

Not talking about how cops were treated, but the overall crime rates were much higher. The homicide rate is much lower today. It’s even lower than 10 years ago. However, I think it’s important to note that the salaries of cops is too low to sustain a middle class life style living in NYC. The...

The wonderful city of New York

The starting salary for a NYPD officer doesn’t even cover the rent of the median 1BR apartment in NYC. Hard to recruit under those economic circumstances. This is way more problematic than whatever a politician says about racism. Even with the pandemic uptick in crime the stats show that the...

Hogan says Trump announcement before November would cost GOP seats

If Hogan were actually the Republican nominee he would win in an absolute landslide, but the parties don’t even try to appeal to the center. The best thing they can do to guarantee victory is elect a so-called RINO. Electing a so-called DINO like a Manchin/Sinema would help the Democrats as well.

    Queen Kamala

Well, Klobuchar is a Yale and Chicago Law graduate who has shown the ability to outperform Democratic presidential candidates in Minnesota (a state Clinton barely won). Hence why I think she was a safer option. A VP doesn’t need to be exciting, they need to not fuck up. I can see Whitmer...

    Queen Kamala

Biden should have picked Klobuchar. My guess is that Harris didn't bring out anybody. VPs don't have that effect. They only turn people off of a ticket. If anything it only made more people afraid that if Biden kicked the bucket that she would be POTUS. She was clearly an extremely weak primary...

I'm not going to do that for each city, but yes, Chicago has a lot of gang activity in the black community.

The wonderful city of New York

I was going by the Wikipedia page that has a table from the FBI, but searching on the FBI website it has something even more specific on cities in FL: https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2019/crime-in-the-u.s.-2019/topic-pages/tables/table-6 City of Jacksonville: Population: 909,142...
