I question trading instuments that involve leverage. Basically because leverage works both ways and small mistakes are magnified.

I haven't seen those posts. I actually haven't seen much negativity about the contest. The results are published in major news papers and a google search doesn't seem to bring up anything scammy. You would think with all the self appointed watchdogs out there that anything fishy would be over...

None. But you can still write a business plan.

To the doubters, I would challenge you to follow Minervini's teachings and not make money.

I'm a fan! I have a similar methodology that is long only and it has kept me out of the bear markets and outperformed the S&P for the last 20 yrs. I'm not sure about the seminars or courses but I recommend his books.

OK Call it what you will. Not sure what you would call forward testing. I see a pattern repeat in the market. Time after time when certain criteria are met, the market moves in a predictable direction. Not all the time but often enough that you could say it had a high probability. The next time...
