    Ellison and Wang charged too

Reminds me of the story about the guy who robbed a grocery store so that he would be sent to jail to get away from his wife. The judge sentenced him to house arrest. :)

identifying trends and patterns before they form.

I won't be much help as I trade off weekly and daily charts. My process is as a pattern sets up I form an opinion of what I expect it to do. If it doesn't do what I expect, I get out of the trade and wait for another pattern.

    Ellison and Wang charged too

I would think for a white collar guy that just the shame of being convicted and having everyone know you had an ankle bracelet and had to payback what ever you had stolen would be punishment enough. Does it matter where you are confined as long as you are confined?

    Ellison and Wang charged too

What is the risk of re-offending? Mugger pretty much guaranteed, white collar not so much. Who gains by locking the white collar guy up? The prison system.

Why don't you explain what it is you do? Walk us thru your process and explain what it is you see and what you are looking for.

How obvious were the 2008 and 2000 crashes?

Very true. If you got out on the trend change and didn't get back in until the price you got out, you didn't lose any money. To me that's the objective of market timing; protect your capital. I sat in cash for a lot of the covid recovery, waiting for the other shoe to drop so to speak, but...

How obvious were the 2008 and 2000 crashes?

I changed strategies after the 2000/2002 meltdown. I was mostly in cash in 2007/8 because the stocks I owned had changed trends, same as 2000. Most of the credit goes to Weinstein's stage analysis.

How obvious were the 2008 and 2000 crashes?

Every crash is proceeded by a trend change that gives the trader an opportunity to exit. Possible exception was the flash crash 2010.

Main reaaon for economic poverty in USA ?

Me too!! I've had treatment for cancer and bypass surgury and although wait times and communication is frustrating to date it hasn't cost me a cent. When we get to discussing healthcare and socialized medicine I can usually end a discussion with my American friends by asking how many Canadians...

Cathie Wood Says $1M Bitcoin (Again); Why She Might Be Right

Just my opinion but I would think that most millionaires are fairly conservative investors. They are already millionaires, so owning an assett just because it might go up isn't high on their list. Especially with the performance of bitcoin over the last year. I wonder how many fewer...

TSLA Crashes to $5 per Share

The problem with CANSLIM right now is the "M". As long as SPY is below the 200 day you might as well stay out of the market. I have a few positions that I picked up because they were making ATH's. FSLR, ELF Tight stop and small positions and we'll see how they do when the trend changes. I...

Ya I can identify with that as I get the odd black bear in my back yard.

TSLA Crashes to $5 per Share

It depends on how it bounces but there is a lot of overhead resistance around $200. We are not day traders so we have lots of time. I actually don't see TSLA going crazy. Trends change when you get higher swing highs and higher swing lows. TSLA hasn't done that for over a year. I ask what's the...

I didn't know that :) Obviously!! I'd call that a New Years Rally but what do I know.

Is there a free service that tells me if a stock is over/undervalued?

I subscribe to simplywallstr and their valuation is just discounted cash flow. They show you the formula. It varies greatly from what most wall street anylists come up with.

    SPY vs SPY

Is it really a Santa rally if it doesn't rally into Christmas? I wouldn't expect anything on volume over the holidays.
