Do you have a source for that stat? Sounds like something you made up. The percentage that is successful does things differently than the rest.

MA's only tell you what price has done. The price causes the MA to move, not the other way around.

I guess it depends on how actively you manage your portfolio. Buying stocks that are trending, cutting losses quickly and leting winners run has worked exceptionally well for me in the past 20 years.
