Suddenly classified as Professional for market data purposes?

@GRULSTMRNN, you are using API for the data, right? Probably co-located as well. I am thinking that exchanges look at the activity of the account to flag people who are obviously running "non-retail" strategies. It doesn't mean they are professionals, but they are questioned first. Just my...

    Breif Intro. . .

He marks up his charts the same way SMB is teaching to do. They allow remote traders, so that's why I asked.

    Slopeof hope

I used to read it. I remember the bearish tone, but if I remember correctly, it didn't stop him playing long. I think he was just working extra hard trying to find short candidates. Maybe to counter balance his longs? That would be valuable perspective in a bull market. It's been awhile though.

The 3 biggest mistakes people make on RISK

Yes! That's why trading education outfits, including prop firms, are so controversial. They entice young people with "easy" money and if they fail, they are left with no transferable skills. So in this sense, I do agree with @dozu888

The 3 biggest mistakes people make on RISK

Who at 25 thinks how much they may or may not have in 18 years? Your compounding assumptions are backwards looking. My opinion is the opposite ... Young people must take high risks while they have the advantage of time. It's like the tennis serve - you are going for the ace on the first one and...

Boeing's 737 Max Software Outsourced to $9-an-Hour Engineers

To me it's very simple, companies don't give a sh*t about employees, and in turn employees don't give sh*t about the company they work for. No processes can ever fix that. People either care or they don't.

    Fastest News Service for Trading

Yes, I have heard that too. Unfortunately, I don't know how either. I know some prop firms get news faster (less delayed) than retail. I noticed some news on TOS is delayed more than on Briefing, fo example. Definitely an edge there, but don't know if retail can get it. Funny story ... I...

    Fastest News Service for Trading

Most moving news are pre/post market. During regular hours, I am thinking that price scanner would react faster than any retail news service. By the time you read why something popped, it would probably be too late to join (but maybe not too late to fade?).

How can the SEC tell if youre 'spoofing'

I agree with you. I don't think these tools are good for detecting what large players are doing (in order to join them or front run them). I do think they are useful for detecting what short term gamers (noise makers, including algos) are doing.

How can the SEC tell if youre 'spoofing'

I don't think they are useless, but like everything in trading, it needs to be viewed in context. No matter what tools/tricks they may have, contracts need to be either bought or sold ... Or else these short term speculators won't make any money. Sometimes they have the luxury to play games and...

How can the SEC tell if youre 'spoofing'

I don't believe that for a second. Spoofing might have triggered initial sell off, but to say that they were the reason for the flash crash is insane. Designated Market Makers are supposed to be there to provide liquidity (and stability), but it seems they only do that when there is no risk...

It's one thing to ask for refund, but to first post negative comments on public forum and then ask for refund! I don't condone, but I can understand. Why didn't you just wait for resolution prior to posting!?
