    Intel Xeon 2235 Vs 2245

Only 2? Bummer. Recently one ETer tried to run multi-monitor on an i9-12900 chip, mixing onboard video with a decent workstation video card. I'd thought he wouldn't be able to get all of the monitors to work... to my surprise, he did. But unfortunately he had video problems with the whole...

How are the CPU graphics on that chip? Seems a trader could run 4 monitors and not bother with a dedicated video card.. ??

    Intel Xeon 2235 Vs 2245

Not exactly. Even a hot gaming CPU like the Core i9 lists "max monitors supported as 4".

People's attitude is changing towards cryptos

That's whay we all hope to do... "Buy a crypto. When it goes up, sell. If it don't go up, don't buy it".

Bear markets are great at trapping investors

Markets in general are very good at snaring traders with that trap "between their ears"... especially so in bear markets. :)

    Calendar secrets :-)

There are "regularities" in the market... displayed in the charts. Learn and trade those. Not "gambling" at all.

OK, who is going to lie and say they saw today's HUGE drop in the charts?

You mean ETers are not "pros-r-us"?

People's attitude is changing towards cryptos

Sounds like maybe you love crypto "too much"... :)

I dunno. I'm just a screen jockey... you'll have to ask a lawyer.

If they gave you "14 days", they will likely honor the price. However, prices are going up all around for everything... thanks to Biden's/Fed policies. If you don't mind my asking... how much is this rig going to set you back?

    Intel Xeon 2235 Vs 2245

Inflation, Grasshopper....it's the"reason" behind price increases, and the gouging of mark-ups because they can probably get away with it thanks to inflation cover. If you don't want to be a victim of that, suggest you buy a used workstation... fwiw (Personally, I buy used. I generally don't...

    Intel Xeon 2235 Vs 2245

The specs on the Xeon processor don't list any limitation on "max numbers of monitors supported".... as do "Core ix" CPUs.

RIVN is holding up very well

It's likely that ALL the EV companies are waaaay ahead of the infrastructure to support them. When the EVs are 2-3% of the vehicles, we "get by" OK. What happens when the EVs are 30%? Infrastructure unlikely to keep up... for like another 50 years or so. Even right now there is a spending...

    Intel Xeon 2235 Vs 2245

My experience is to expect 10 year service or more from a workstation-class computer. Of course if one wants to upgrade sooner, that's different. (My Dell workstation desktops are now 6-years old and my Dell workstation laptop is 9 years.... all still working smooth as a gravy sandwich.) :D

Might even "look up the chain" to see if an even bigger capacity CPU might be worth the investment... if running a bunch of tic charts (which I would recommend against)... buy ALL THE PERFORMANCE you can afford.

Then you should have no problems with W10/W11 running 12.

    Intel Xeon 2235 Vs 2245

Difference between 6C and 8C. Passmark rates according to "max data throughput if all cores/threads are saturated 100% with data"... which is likely never the case. You'll probably use 4 cores, max, so having extra cores and threads won't improve speed. Then again, sometime in the future 8Cs...

    Intel Xeon 2235 Vs 2245

Unless know your software will utilize 8 cores, likely little difference in trading on 2235 (6 core) or 2245 (8core). Both have about the same single thread performance. As for 12 monitors... probably will run. W10 originally had a default limit of 10, but if default setting won't handle...

    Help me...What do I not see...Intel

    1. US Government doing some sanctions/restrictions on semiconductor companies in general. 2. Always riskier to buy stock when in a down trend. Suggest waiting until it looks like the stock might have bottomed for a swing or bigger move.
