In what time period are you usually profitable ?

I dig the reference. I'm sure you realize... Ten Bears was actually a Comanche chief. :)

In what time period are you usually profitable ?

1982-2000... included myself. Eventually I became my "biggest client".

In what time period are you usually profitable ?

Not sure what you're asking. ??

In what time period are you usually profitable ?

I marketed my service as "LoRisk". There was one period... don't recall whether it was 3 years or 5 years... where my biggest drawdown was < 2%. Investors liked that of course. No such thing exists today where there also might be high gain potential.

In what time period are you usually profitable ?

Leverage is more stressful these days. I often see an issue or an ETF down 10% or so in one day... sometimes > 20%. Seems reckless to risk 10% of a lifetime accumulation on one day's action... and of course the next day could be more of the same.

In what time period are you usually profitable ?

Yeah, no margin, no leverage... nothing like that. I started my investing career with $25/month bank draft into Templeton Growth Fund. (I still recall filling out the account application... and thinking, "I hope this works out". LOL!) The software I was recording all this upon went "out of...

In what time period are you usually profitable ?

Sounds crazy, but back then there were few if any leveraged funds... if there were, I didn't use any of them. And there were no inverse/short funds. I was "long only". 100% "in or out", all the time.

In what time period are you usually profitable ?

Mutual fund timing, including Relative Strength sector rotation... all done with "Price TA". Swing trade objective. The best year in my mind (not the highest return year) was when I was "in the market" only 25% of the market days and scored 104% gain. (Seemed outrageous at the time... still...

In what time period are you usually profitable ?

Back in my day of "15 minutes of fame" (41% compounded return for 18 years... enhanced by my "hot years"... of 75%/year for 5 years... one time I went 7 months without a losing trade... I recall a client calling me up and celebrating, "we haven't had a losing trade all year". I thought, "you...

In what time period are you usually profitable ?

Not necessarily. Whatever "info" one gets from a longer term chart, gets the same/more in greater detail in the shorter term chart. That is... the daily chart takes all of the day's action and compresses it into one bar. The hourly chart displays the daily action in 7 bars. That's more...

perfect entries or (nearly) zero drawdown trades, how to get it ?

Not possible. Best you can do is to buy at/close to "support"... and sell at/close to "resistance". If you don't understand, make an effort to learn "Price TA". Even those trades are a guess.. but "smart" ones.

In what time period are you usually profitable ?

Back in the day when I ran my mutual fund timing service and was independently audited... I had 5 years without a losing quarter (mine was the only service in the equities space without a losing quarter).... and was also #1 in 5-year performance in the Steve Shellins', "Moni Research...

Going to smaller timeframes, is it worth the effort in the end ?

Get yourself "up to speed" on Price TA. You'll know the answer and won't need to bother asking. One hint however... tic charts are too manic, IMV.

RIVN is holding up very well

Wasn't it just this last week that all of RIVN's vehicles got recalled for potential steering issues?

Options only to understand us securities

Not really a matter of needing options (nobody needs options), but you still need the market/issue to move in your favor (or what you believe is the most likely/important leg). So, you might "strategize" or leverage with options.

"Excess Mortality Soars"... every possible explanation considered... except one... COVID VACCINES!!

There is such data. There is PROOF of excess deaths. You just haven't bothered to look for it. And don't you DARE infer I made up ANYTHING I post! (Actually, I kind of what you call you a SHITHEAD for accusing me of such!)

Options only to understand us securities

YES! Learn Price TA. When you get a good setup, you can execute with the option instead of the underlying if you choose. The key to success is the underlying setup. You don't have much control over the "slop" you have pay for, so go for the good setup and the slop won't make a material diff...

How do I Choose before Dell Ships Workstation

Worst case scenario... you could delete Dell Windows version and "start from scratch" with Microsoft version. Windows Update is actually good about installing proper drivers. (Perhaps Dell's "Plain Vanilla" is actually this?) Note... before you do this, get a flash drive and format it to...

Market Expects Recession Cry To Be Met With Fed Put

JPow has said, "We're going to raise rates up to the point that they become restrictive and hold them there until the inflation rate gets down to 2%". If he sticks to that plan, rates won't go all that high, but will remain high enough, long enough to be recessionary. If he wants to quell...
