Would you buy an ounce of gold for $50? They wouldnt!

He's right on this. Follow history from the Land Between the Two Rivers to Modern Day and Gold rules the show. He who has the most gold will win the most wars and eat the most bread.

"I'm Doing God's Work" Meet Mr Goldman Sachs

A billionaire family? I did not know that. Even if that's true it doesn't change the way she lived her life and how many lives she touched in the process and if that doesn't suffice perhaps we should have a discussion about every other saint that made his or her way into the bible? I'm pretty...

Dude, you just gave me a fucking boner :D

Why is economy not soaring with $6 trillion of stk wealth added?

Because the consumer put their head in the Lion's mouth and the Lion bit down. You won't be so quick to test the Lion a second time around. The Great Credit Orgy has ended. Consumers aren't going to go out and leverage their house and future to buy a new car. They are actually going to drive...

Obama and Congress declare war on Welpoint WLP

This is so sad but true. The insurance companies are licking their chops. Millions of more subscribers to fuck over and guaranteed premiums from the government. They will be able to deny benefits with warp speed once this bill passes.

"I'm Doing God's Work" Meet Mr Goldman Sachs

It's not a case of envy. Anyone who thinks they are doing "God's work" where the aquisition of physical possessions is involved is delusional and extremely narcissistic. I would view someone such as Mother Teresa or Gandhi as doing "God's work." Blankfein's comments are offensive and highly...

    Hey Trader Zones!

I agree with what TraderZones says. TA, FA, EA (economic), SA (statistical)....you can lump them all into the same barrell. What makes a profitable trader is the trader, not the method. Read "Trading in the Zone," by Mark Douglas and you'll find the answers to many of your questions...

    debt with broker!

You're being too harsh risktaker. We all have to start at the bottom. No one comes into the wonderful world of trading with more capital than they need, or at least not many. I learned my share of lessons the hard way

    debt with broker!

A broker is not required to manage a trader's risk, just their own. So when you suggest the OP looks to see if GF could have gotten him out at a better price you are presenting an irrelavant argument. They are not required to fight for a better fill whether it's a liquid market or not. The...

    debt with broker!

I'm not an attorney but here is my take. When you signed the contract to open the account - the one that was as thick as the bible - you absolved them of any responsibility, even from technical problems that could occur on their end so the $2,000 deficit is your responsibility. This is one...

Is bad credit a character flaw?

The credit report is one of the last things to do along with the background check. The company has a pretty good idea they are going to hire you before they spend the bucks on the background check/credit report. They can't get a credit report w/o your permission. When you sign on the dotted...

Total US unemployment rate hits 17.5%

And the market bottomed at 666. A reference perhaps to www.goldmansachs666.com. GS showed 'em who's in charge :D

Is bad credit a character flaw?

I have an 845 credit score. Had a 6k balance with BAC at 1.99%. They raised it to 13.99% and I paid it off. I've had numerous cards send notices my rates have gone up to the 20% area but they have zero balances. Only 1 card with a credit line cut so far. I don't think these moves are a...

Is bad credit a character flaw?

A high credit score will not get you a job but a low one will most certainly prevent you from finding a job. I'm so glad I don't have to work for the man anymore. If you can't find a job start your own business. It really isn't that hard if you have decent personable skills and the desire to...

Goldman loses money on just one trading day in Q3.

No dude, you're missing my point. I'm saying GS wins this much because they make a market, they own the market. There is almost no risk in making a market. There other elements of GS's business that is a pure racket and something the Chicago Mob would be proud to calls theirs. Without owning...

    I predict 12.6% Unemployment.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like your model just adds 1 at each iteration, with a starting point of 1.2.

Goldman loses money on just one trading day in Q3.

This is complete madness. Go out on the market and see how "easy" scaling is. Scaling does raise a win rate but it also raise the risk of ruin. There's a definite trade off and it sure as hell isn't easy.

Goldman loses money on just one trading day in Q3.

Assuming the Yankees win 100 games in the season that gives them an overall winning percentage of 61.73%. GS is winning 63/64 days for a win rate of 98.44%. C'mon man. Why is it so hard for you to realize that you can only win that often if you own the market? The dealer always wins!

Goldman loses money on just one trading day in Q3.

Since when does hiring the top 1% of the top 1% allow you to defy the laws of statistics. That's like saying the top 1% of the top 1% of Physicists can defy the laws of gravity. It just ain't possible. GS performs so well because they ARE the market. Stop being so naive.

Wanna know how Jon Stewart buried Cramer.

The level of corruption in this country has risen to the level of a third world country's. The sad truth is it will only get worse. Communism is on its way. Ask AngryCat. He's seen it before.
