IB TWS and Quotetracker mkt breadth ?

Gordo, 1) we added IB as an index source in QT, so you can go to OPTIONS./WebUpdate, let QT update all files, then go to OPTIONS/Data sources menu and click on Indices tab and just select most of the above stuff from the built in list. for Advance/Decline, you would enter something like...

    IB vs. Tradestaion

you would be paying IB for the L II data. You would need that regardless of what you use to view the data - TWS or QT, so yes, if you use IB as the datafeed in QuoteTracker, you would need to pay IB for Level II if you wanted to see that data in QuoteTracker

    IB vs. Tradestaion

Your account info, transactions, positions, etc, is displayed within QT so you do not need to switch to TWS to view it. In QT you can link windows so when you click on a symbol, all linked windows will switch to it. QT supports multiple groups of linked windows. You can switch symbols in...

    IB vs. Tradestaion

vhehn - note that the new version of QuoteTracker has dynamic historical charts that work the same way as the intraday - full zooming, trendlines, paintbars, configurable indicators, P&F & Renko charts, etc. IB is a broker, so all the trades you are making, whether you use ButtonTrader to enter...

    High cpu usage...

Try changing the display color depth. If you are running 32 bit color depth, you can switch down to 16 bit. You are not going to see any difference, but that may have a significant affect on CPU usage.

AllenW, sorry - missed your question before. QuoteTracker itself does not have simulated trading. However, if your broker supports logging in via demo or simulated mode, QT can do it. Some that have that are MB Trading, CyberTrader and Interactive Brokers

    Best "Platform" for IB

Bandit, QuoteTracker does have streaming options. Just not option Chains. NOTE: since TWS does have to be running (if you connect with IB), you could bring up the option chain from TWS if needed. Keep in mind that QT windows are not in a "Container" window, so you can intermix them with windows...
