"Default" only applies if the datafeed does not explicitly specify a timeframe. That is not the case with Stockwatch or many others. You would have to change it explicitly for each symbol. Once changed however, it should stay that way unless maybe if you clear all data.

tomi01, QT is just using the last update that it was able to get. Some of the data may not change often, depending on what you are filtering on, but it is definitely not current. As for registration, just get the patch and you don't have to deal with that anymore.

@rm3 TDA shut down Advanced Analyzer over a month ago it seems. QT Advanced Screener uses the same data, so basically it is no longer available.

QT uses whatever value is passed for volume. I have not looked at the API in a while, but at the time we implemented and for years after that, there was no option for different volumes

@vette - in theory, sure you can do that. In fact there are already multiple programs that simulate the IB datafeed for various reasons; playback of data for example. You would just set TWS to use some port other than the default one for the API, then have your custom app connect to that, and...

nope. only thing that can be done is getting IB to fix the RT update of the volume data

IB is not updating the volume regularly on those symbols,so there's nothing in QT that can be done about it. it is not a patch issue. As for IQFeed, they did put out an update specifically for QT to address their update that would have otherwise broken the QT connection to IQFeed, so, yes...
