    Don's Openings, Part 6 2003

Yes, we're doing fine. But I think those to the North got hit a little bit harder. Also, to throw in my 2 cents on the double-down theory. Based on what I've seen (working with hundreds of traders over the years), I'd say it works 100% of the time every time you do it until the first time...

    Source for intraday short interest?

That's it! I sniffed around the site, but couldn't come up with it on my own. Thanks! Cash

    Source for intraday short interest?

Does anyone know of a source for intraday short interest? They were saying that the pop today after the rate announcement could have something to do with short covering and it would be interesting to see if you could identify short interest beforehand. Cash

    Don's Openings, Part 6 2003

Pretty good morning today. And all that with a flakey internet connection. I will now say this on the record for the public: "I made more money because my internet connection had a problem." So, it DOES happen! I stayed in a position where I would've been whipped out if my...

    Looking for stock tick data

Hi, Anyone know where I can get stock tick data for about 350 NYSE stocks? (for a few months back) I know of some places, that are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. All I want is Symbol Date Time Price I'm looking for it in some kind of machine readable file. Just looking for it at a...

    Don's Openings, Part 6 2003

What's the theory behind not playing news stocks? I know they can go bad quick, but I close 'em quick if they do. I still play them though, a good example today was ROK:

I've had BLS in my stable for a while now. It has generally worked OK in the past.

    Don's Openings, Part 6 2003

I've never known an odd lot to come off of the NYSE, just ECN's. Actually, the other day, I did close a position on an ECN and got a fractional fill. And on another day, I closed on an ECN when the stock wasn't "acting right" and got the high print of the morning (and on the GOOD side!).

    Don's Openings, Part 6 2003

Good day here too. But BLS had a wiggle right off the open and shook me out with a 1 lot print that was the low of the morning. Almost like he knew my exit strategy!

From what I've seen the card counters gravitate to tape reading NYSE stocks, so I don't think it would help you get a fill from ISLD or NITE.

OK, what I intended as something light has really gone astray. 1. GOOD Card counters who play blackjack can and DO win at the casinos on a consistent enough basis to make a VERY NICE living. It's no secret that the founders of Bright started this way as well as other very successful...
